  • This totally reminds me of the Bowser battle music in the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros.

  • Sounds like background music to an espionage videogame.

  • hahaha now im new fag.. should i say something to try make myself sound cool and piss everyone off?

  • new fag??? ur triippin u bitchass ive been listening to dubstep since 2007, you fuckin cunt.

  • jazzed in my pants :O

  • jazz and dubstep sounds interesting, but that's all..

    they're two uncombinable genres.

Reggae, Hip-Hop, Techno, Minimal, Dub, Goa, 2step, Electro, Grime, these can be mixed into dubstep, but not jazz/blues/swing/soul.

The concept is nice, but the execution is poor.

  • Dude, ever heard Girl From Codeine City by L-Wiz? That's Jazz & Dubstep brilliantly mixed together, imho. And basically every track by Jazzsteppa combines the two genres, so.

  • your execution is poor

  • You don't even make sense.

  • The guy is right. The samples used for the song are crap, but the concept is nice.

And the parts he took from jazz songs are not well resampled.

But again, the concept is nice.

  • @evilwarrior

    cool story bro

  • @fistful0fst33l thanks newfag

  • @thedevo01 The execution is terrible. Ive seen this work at underground raves though

  • Reeally???

I always though jazz and dubstep went nice..well electro jazz. Check out

"Gravious - Jupiter Jazz (Highpoint Lowlife 36)"

But your right in this case about his execution. Still a lovable tune.

  • i dont know about mixing them together in a set if thats what you mean?? but theres tons of dope jazzy dubstep tunes out there

  • Yes, when I posted that comment, 3 months ago, I only heard a few jazzy dubstep tunes which were nowhere near "good".

But by now I downloaded lots of mixes that had nice tracks which by now convinced me that I was partially wrong.

I still don't like this particular tune though.

A person who listens to jazz, funk, soul, AND modern day music, like Dubstep, deserves my respect, just like this producer here, but I do not have to like his tune just because of that.

  • @thedevo01 well sir, how about you give us some artists or tunes to check out?? always up for new jams brotha. thanks, and that was very well said. much respect

  • a lot of great dubstep tracks are jazz-influenced

  • Lots of music genres are jazz and blues influenced, including metal, reggae, rock, and especially Hip-Hop (the pure kind).

    I'm a producer, I should know. But thanks. =)

One of dubstep's most typical characteristics (syncopation) comes from blues, and it's drum rhythms come from dub/reggae, which originates from jazz.
