  • i went there like a month ago. this ride was alright. xDD my little nephew loved it

  • i live on 15 and kelly. i took my baby sis there she loved it

  • how is it possible to die in THIS ''rollercoaster'' even if you are 3years old, but once again , RIP en my thoughts go out to family and friends

  • A bitch Nigga below me u can suck a dick for dat 1 comment u put bout da parents bitch.

  • R.I.P little one.

Safety first people. Safety first. Please remember that it is your job as a parent to protect your children from harm. You cannot put a child on something obviously extremely unsafe to over-protective parents, without accompanying him or her. You just can't. And if you don't know that then you need parenting classes. Children, cannot afford parents to have their heads in their asses when it comes to safety and making proper decisions appertaining thereunto.

  • You're a fucking idiot and an irresponsible parent.

  • People blaming the parents need to stop. Some roller coasters are made for little kids and they ride without incident. Most 3 year olds can and do ride with the understanding that they need to hold on and leave the belt alone. It's a tragic accident and nothing more.

  • "I would have done this if I were the parent"

Yeah well you weren't there and you didn't do that. If it was your child who died and not hers, she'd probably be on here saying the same thing about you. It's easy to say you would have done things properly when you weren't there. It was an accident and an easy mistake to make when you walk in here and see tons of kids riding it already without parents and when your child meets the safety requirements and has a brother to ride with.

  • who the hell puts two 3 year olds alone on this kind of ride! was their mother too fat to fit in the seat with them or just too lazy to be a parent?

  • From Chicago Sun Times:

Ronald Amodeo, co-owner of Amlin TV Sales and Service in Norridge, said he held his son, Christopher, while they rode the Python Pit roller coaster for the first time three months ago. Christopher turned 4 Friday.

“The ride makes constantly jerky turns,” Amodeo said. “I braced Christopher’s neck and head. I vowed not to take him back on the ride until he was older.”

  • Even if the 3 year old boy that died met the height requirement, I do not think that a 3 year old's mind is quite developed enough to follow directions and hold on to a bar just by being told to hold on to it. I am praying for the family.

  • @carolo107 Who are you to talk like that? Are you a child safety expert? A roller coaster specialist? I don't think so. You must also remember that tens of thousands of other children of the same size and age rode the same ride. You cannot make the assumption that this was also their first time. Maybe this famly had come to this park many times? Roller coasters kill many people due to tragic accidents like these, how come this ONE accident is entirely the parents' or the park's?

  • Sadly a fun and exciting day turned into tragedy. The 3 year old should have had an adult sitting next to him. Thoughts and Prayers go out to the family and friends.

  • this isn't the same ride. The real ride is in chicago

  • how are you even able to die from this rollercoaster?! at it's heighest point it is only like 3 metre high.

probably fell on his head or something

  • I would not let any kid under 12 ride on this without an adult next to them.

A 3 year old with another 3 year old, my God, what are you thinking? I can't even imagine my fidgety 2 1/2 year old in 6 months going anywhere near this ride, EVEN with me next to him!

RIP little one, and I hope parents use common sense even if parks allow little kids to ride these things.

  • R.I.P i wonder how he died in this kind of 'rollercoaster'

  • Yeah, I'm thinking the little fellow was trying to get off when he fell, maybe in that right banking curve. Pidge, you're right. The kids were to young to be on the ride without supervision.

  • bottom line - an adult should have been on with both boys

They were just babies really. You can't expect them to sit properly and be perfectly behaved.

  • Why did he get out of the seat? Did he not want to go on it, did his parent make him ride it? I've seen kids ridiculed when they didn't want to ride something. Or was he being a smart a-- showing off? At 3 I'll guess he didnt' want to ride. Whatever, tragic.

  • it's not going that slow....

  • how the hell can a boy die in something that goes this slow..

  • @jernurt that doesn't look so slow that it couldn't cause serious head injuries for a child if they fall out and get caught between cars.

    Which is apparently what happened.

This kind of this could happen on any ride. And a three year old is very vulnerable.

  • @jernurt It's not the speed of the ride nor the height, it's mainly about where you get hit. This unfortunate child was hit in the head.

  • my kid will never ride this again. poor lil kid died lastnight on one of these in illinois
