  • and FOUR FEET

  • ya good case, but HAF 912 cost almost a third of this.... money that you can spend better....

  • I am not even a huge computer nut, and I don't know what a lot of this stuff means, but I just want to say this is a damn fine review. Great timing, great speaking voice, zero slip-ups, and riveting (if you can describe a review as such). I just think this was very well made and a pleasure to watch.

  • Debating on getting the PC-P50R or the HAF X. Can't decide. :c

  • @CornFlakeSTEW

Same, I just don't like the BIG of the haf x and the USb 3.0 wire.

  • thats where they got the idea for the lancool pck62 dragon lord case very same design except it is all aluminum

  • I bought that case 10 minutes ago, and the TR-5 FanControll panel too.

I can´t wait to get that masterpiece!!! United Parcel Service, please drive FASTER =)

  • I have this Case and i love it.

  • i got a question is it beter to have push button for the power switch or clic button let me know i think clic power switch is beter but my computer heat very easy and it freeze in some games i want to know if its my piece or my case ok thx :)

  • There isn't an answser to that, it's personal preference.

  • awesome review :D

  • lian li best cases in the world

  • @TheAllTechInOnePlace Its because the Power Supply has its own Ventilation and doesnt use the hot air in the case... So its much cooler, lives longer and is more silent.

  • He should update it to show that it also comes in that sexy red AMD edition.

  • Just curious, but how many rivets does this case use?

  • can this case take the ATI 5770 graphics cards

  • @TheAllTechInOnePlace If you power supply falls then it can destroy your computer, the other reason is because it's easier to route cables up behind the motherboard tray with it at the bottom.

  • @vearheart42 Wat...

  • @thegaym0r1337 My grandma;s computer before it died had that happen to her. So for now on I won't mount my psu up off the floor.

What you said is also true.

  • @vearheart42 Well, u have to secure it with Screws, you know? ;D Crappy PSU or Crappy Case.... Usually they shouldnt fall down... crazy story :D

  • @thegaym0r1337 It was a dell haha, we got it replaced but I'm not so sure if those people screwed it in all the way. . .

  • nice review rodney!

  • ok iv watched 4 or 5 of these and i've had ENOUGH!!

where is this magical case he's thinking about when he says "this case does not have a removeable motherboard tray".... is there one case out there that does? and does that mean that ALL other cases are failures because they dont' have that feature?

and does anyone know what case that is?

  • seems a bit... flimsy?

I want to buy this case though :o

  • fucking can't even fit a 5870 in this.

Always want a case that can hold a 12 INCH CARD, which the 5970 is.

  • @Gibson299 you probably could if you got creative with the hard drive mounting, but for this price you shouldn't have to do that.

  • 2 Questions

Can you turn off the LED lights? I leave my computer at night.

Also this case or the CM 690 II Advanced? Cause they both look similar but is half the price of this.

  • @BetterDayz19 Uh this case doesnt have any LEDs lol, apart from front panel LEDs, in which case just dont plug em in, more hassel then they're worth anyways.

  • Id go with the CM 690 II

  • You don't really need holes in the side panels. You just need to put ventilation in the right places to get the temperature right.

  • well if you did you can get one from lian li anyway

  • i got it myself, should be 100% kick-ass if you ask me lol

  • this case or the thermaltake spedo?

  • got the P50 ... fu_king fantastic :D

  • lian li for sure

    thermaltake's case are toys

  • Except the Amor + VH6000BSW off course

  • Worse than toys... I would buy a Thermaltake for MY kids (if I had any!). Lian Li any day thanks :).

  • @3Z3K13L08 but kids break things too easily, thermaltake is for LED junkies.

  • @Troothforc Thermaltake are peices of shit lol, I have had the Auigula or whatever, and the Tsunami. So much flex in the cases, is crazy, Also, they are really thin metal, like thin enough to slice yourself on ^^

  • I do not like Lian li.

  • @Thushan44 this unless you want a huge plastic thing

  • This case

  • i don't understand why companies not include a side window/air flow these days

  • Lian li's are all about minimalistic design. You really do have to own one to understand how amazing they really are.

  • check the pc-p50r

  • If you haven't already, you guys should check out the armorsuit pc-p50r. This case is beautiful and will be replacing my NZXT guardian.

  • 5 stars for the video mate!!! I have a question to all of you guys: will a cooler master v8 fit into this case? i am about to buy the red edition of this case and am a bit worried about the size, since the width of the case is 21 cm.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought you considered buying a case from corsair?!

  • no, I have found something which is really better than the obsidian IMHO. Don't u dare to get the same one, it was my idea)))

  • hehe Im not going to buy any case)) Im pretty satisfied with ma NZXT Tempest xPPPPPP

  • @Abylay4030 any mid tower case can fit the V8. check out my vid if u wana see

  • Have you reviewed the Lian-li X2000? It looks awesome.

  • Hey 3DGAMEMAN I was wondering if a 5870 would fit in that case since I saw you measuring the case and it ends up at 1ft long so it's like past 11.5 and the 5870 is 11" you think it will be a tight fit for it? I might be putting 2 of them in crossfire x as well

  • yes it would fit, but only if the hard drive cage is on the bottom.

  • 100% sexy like all lian li's

  • this case is awesome :) 100% KICKASS !!

  • buy this one

  • is it possible to fit a 240 radiator to fit in the top? and maybe a 360 in the front?

  • I have no need for DVD drives and was wondering if 2 additional hard drive cages (EX-332N) could be installed in this case?

  • you can indeed my good sir... =-¸)

  • Comment removed

  • unfortunatly not, you can only fit 2 cages in total.

  • For the price this should have came with a removable motherboard tray.

  • ._.

  • the p50 r does its also better looking, but same price

  • p50r looks awful, p50bw should be a good option though for those who want to have a window.

  • this is a very good product but the fact that you have to buy a hard drive cage for an additional fan, either the $40 with fan or $25 with no fan, makes the case worth alot more than the already high price

  • I love the look but i'm not a fan of the hard drive cage.

  • can you attach more 120mm fans in the front?

  • if u buy another drive cage yay u could

  • no. you'll have to either mod it or buy the lian li optional drive bay cages.

  • Yep, but you will need to buy another hdd cage

  • strangely enough this case looks like a lancool dragonlord it has all the same features

  • its the same thing cept dragon lord is alot cheaper is black with a window but its steel :C

  • rod, why isnt this 100 percent kick ass?

  • I think he is partial to removable motherboard trays... I don't recall a 100 percent kick ass case that didn't have one?

  • antec 1200 haf and spedo :P

  • its cuz no mid tower cases r kickass

  • he gave the storm sniper 100 percent kick ass

  • cuz its bigger then most mid towers and idk he gave it 100 kick ass when i looks so ugly

  • the mobo tray is not removable.

  • Everyone who isn't complaining about this being flashy enough check out the PC-P50r.

  • I've got it as well. The PC-p50r that is. It's amazing. Best looking case I've ever seen.

  • Excellent review!

  • Thats an extremely well made case. Lian Li is definitely one of the top tier companies who make pc cases.

  • What about ventilation? Be nice if there were a side panel fan. :P

  • anyone got any reccomendations this case Vs the Lian Li V1200 ?

  • to bad they dont have a window cause it looks nice

  • cut your own then :)

  • I bought the wrong case...

    This is it!

  • current new egg price one hundred eighty nine dollars.

  • wow FINALLY a good tool less for cards and hard drives

  • Look guys, Lian Li cases are made like a black canvas for modders to work with. Each case is the base of a modular system, and can be striped down to the metal in 1' tops.

Lian Li goes for no-bullshit clean looks, maximum quality brushed aluminum, no cheap ass plastic and secc parts.

As soon as someone buys this case, he is going to mod it, starting with another EX-332N cage, a couple of C-02 bezels and a fan controller like the kaze master.

Once you go Lian Li, you don't go back. PERIOD.

  • Or you could just buy a decent case in the first place, which last time I checked was the manufactures job to do lol?

Since we're on an art metaphor, I don't think anyone who is looking for an original painting would go out and buy a blank canvas and then attempt to paint the original piece because it just wouldn't compare?

  • looks alot like the antec 1200

  • Lian-li customer support = non-existent. I have a Lian-li case with a front cathode light. Something is wrong with the wiring and only half of it lights up. I sent two emails with no response.

  • then call them goddammit

say that if they don't help you very soon

you gonna burn their hole shop down to the ground :P

  • Only 3 HD bays and no ESATA port. Aside from that this is a brilliant case. The detail is simply amazing.

With some slight modding you could acomplish quite a bit.

    I love Lian Li.

  • should i get the antec 902 or the antec 1200

  • The 902 is just a smaller version of the 1200. The 902 would work just fine but I would have to go with the 1200 if you could, simply because of the extra fans and size.

  • I agree with BigOleEric; however, I'd like to add that they're almost identical in price as well.

  • he loves lian cases eh?

  • Who doesn't? :D

  • Yo Rodney can you please put a picture up in your forums of what the top side looks like WITHOUT the 2 140mm fans on because i want to mount a radiator there.

Also if you could give me some sort of an estimate as to what the clearance would be from the top to where the DIMM slots on a motherboard would be. I radiator is 65 mm thick so i am quite worried.

    Thank you my friend :)

  • Great video review!

  • this guy really loves removable mobo trays

  • Don't we all ;)

  • anyone know what kind of video camera he uses for his videos recordings?

and i and a vid/cam that makes his voice sound so clear

  • Rodney you should totally make T-shirts.

  • r u gonna wear it???

  • 100% KICKASS?

    hellyeah i would!

  • this looks so much like the antec 902/ tempest

  • Thats what I thought too. I saw the case and then looked at my 902, then said "Another one..."

  • sounds like a antec 300 upgraded and named lian li

  • Lian Li usually sells side panels with the windows in them seperately at their websites.

  • Do they sell them with fans too?

  • It sounds so fucking cheap when he is taking it apart. Lian Li, I don't think so.

    I'd go for a Kandalf.

  • Lmfao Kandalf. Yeah great trusty company they are. Amazing reputation rofl

  • Fair enough. Everyone has their own preferences. To be honest I probably would go with Lian Li a lot more, but I don't like the idea of spending that much on a case right now. Maybe in the future, though. xD

  • love the design, but if it where black on the inside, have space for an additional 120mm fan in the front, and turned that HDD cage 90* it would ROCK MY WORLD

  • a bit more intake ventilation and it'd be 100% kickass

  • Installing HDDs must be a fucking pain, much easier in an Ikonik Ra X10.

  • Oh no "The motherboard tray is NOT removable"

  • WTF LIAN LI NO 100% KICKASS WTF???

  • uhm i'm quite disappointed for the not-removable motherboard tray :|

    why, Lian Li, why??!1

for the rest it's a very nice case; great materials, good looking and a nice base for a laser-cut mod window + interior painting

  • The expension bay system seems really good. Not cheap clips but some very tight spring system.

  • that case looks awesome, probably expensive though :(

  • my only complaint is all aluminum. but that really doesn't matter as long as they've made it a sturdy enclosure. and i love that expansion slot locking mechanism.

  • Upside to all aluminum is that it weighs almost nothing, making it great for LAN parties.

Not an upside if you don't plan to take it anywhere, obviously.

  • obviously, if i were to build a lanbox I'd start with somethign like Silverstones SG series. boxes that size could be steel and still easy to lug around

  • Aluminum also dissipates heat better than steel.

  • Love the video, makes me want to purchase this case :]

  • I think it should be %1000000000 Kickass product

  • A+ Case!

  • consoles sucks

  • yes they do suck i game on pc

  • ok and be stuck with your shitty looking games

  • I have gaming pc too dawg

  • Damn, a Lian Li i'd consider buying, if it didn't cost more than a PS3.

  • that pencil is everlasting

  • Lol .

  • its probably cause no one would ever write with it. lol

  • 3dGameMan what happened to? your channel's layout? I like the previous layouts

  • Antec 1200 > L&L PC-P50

  • This case is OK, convenient but not good for the money. Heaps of cases can be on par or better than this, for a cheaper price.

  • Lian Li is always expensive

  • paying for a name.

  • But they are nice

  • Awesome case, a bit expensive though.

  • EVERYONE look at the pc-p50r case. If you complain about a window you should like that

  • thats one sexy ass case

  • I know, I'm planning on getting it soon

  • Its good to see dust filters on the front. And its very good to see the hole in the mobo tray.

It seems like a really good case

  • An Antec, not a Antec

  • the best LAN party case is the cooler master scout. Its much more transportable, has a handle, and has better looks and airflow than this one.

  • Comment removed

  • i dont like this case. I find all of lian li's cases ugly and overpriced.

  • Much better cases out there for $200. Thanks for another great review Rodney!

  • If one is not too good @ cable management, the window on the antec 1200, 900, 900-2 series can make the insides look ugly. This case probably fits the need for people who want a similar design without making it too flashy yet have a sturdy quality build.

  • Nice case, but I'd prefer an Antec 900 two over this.

  • I think you should start showing the other side of the side panel

  • I like 900 two case over this lian li pc-p50

  • "And unfortunely, the motherboard tray is NOT removeable!"

    3DGAMEMAN's classic phrase

  • this case have rubbered feet and won't scratch the surface.

  • "fourtunatly the dust filters are removable for cleaning."

  • yeah i agree

  • uh, why did they copy antec 900?

  • copy of antec 900 much? lol
