What type of dog he gets is his business. I am hoping to get a labradoodle when I get older. A portuguese water dog looks really adorable. I am simply happy that Obama got himself a pooch to share with his lovely daughters.

There is no such thing as a hyopallergenic dog. Most people are allergic to the skin flakes. So even if the dog were bald--too bad.

I can't stand Obama now-he's an elitist. He chose to get a Portuguese water dog-a very expensive rare breeder dog. WIth millions unemployed, even starving, it's a poor choice. A shelter dog is too good for his royal majesty. Americans are probably EATING dog meat now just to stave off starvation. And he gets a water dog from a breeder. Sick. I thank GOD I never registered to vote. And I'm proud of it. Well, Mr. Obama-I am no longer a fan of you.

Ummmm. The dog was given to the Obama family as a gift by Senator Ted Kennedy. What is he supposed to do if someone gives him such a gift? Return it?

Osama can't keep his word so I doubt that story of it being a gift is legistimate. He could have said, "Well, I promised AMerica to get a shelter dog due to animal overpopulation and how expensive that is, so I need to honor that." Kennedy would have understood. This dog would NOT have ANY trouble getting a home-even the breeder said that. It could have been returned to her and easily resold without any problem. It was just another elaborate Obama web of lies and deceits. King Osama is a LIAR!

Labradoodles are a pedigree, get your facts right.

they are not a "pedigree" dog.

It takes more than mating a "labradoodle" to another "labradoodle" to create a purebred dog.

It takes many generations of selective breeding.. a dog isnt considered purebred until you have been producing pups with predictable traits for at least 6 generations.

Most "labradoodles" are still F1 and F2 crosses.. none of these breeders are making true attempts at creating a purebred dog.. just slapping mutts together and calling them a name for profit.

Well it was pretty right on but her weight on the Labradoodle is a bit off. I know of several (including mine) that are 84 lbs or more. Labradoodle's have their own rescue group IDOG they rescue Goldendoodles too!
