I tried that and it didn't work, I had to call a plumber to change it in fear of damaging any pipes behind the wall.

Huge help in figuring out how to replace that stupid shower arm. Mine had some kind of proprietary fitting for the shower head so I had to replace the arm in order to install any a new shower head. Thank you Ron!

I didn't know how to remove a shower head ball on the end of the shower arm. "we're not going to use the jaws... instead, we're going to use the handle." BRILLIANT. you saved me money and it was easy. THANKS.
