@GrabberCast yes you can. However this code is just a prove of concept. If you really plan to use it on a regular basis have a look at PascalW/Ariplayer at GitHub. His code is much nicer and easier to setup.
@Chilled106 Yes the script should work under Windows if the dependencies are installed (Twisted framework, don't know about xbmc-eventclients-xbmc-send). Eventually you can replace the calls to xbmc-send by calls to the web API.
However in order to get everything up and running you still need an implementation of Bonjour (Avahi on linux) and configure it accordingly to the service script which comes with the script. Here again I've no idea how to setup and configure Bonjour under windows.
@MultiBlieb Can you send me back the your log file please (Play2wifi.log)? Especially the line containig "Found the following Media to play". Normally its the third line of the log. Maybe this would allow the necessary to have youtube on iPad support.
@BernhardRode No photos actually and no iTunes. This would need further investigation. I think the protocol is slightly different from the video protocol.
Actually I've no plans to implement this. But I think it's very possible to do the necessary reverse engineering. Half a day for the reverse enginnering plus half a day for the python implementation.

You can also try Aerodrom (funky-factory.blogspot.com).
Aerodrom brings AirPlay to Windows.
It lets you stream audio, video, photos and slideshows from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad wirelessly to your Windows PC
or notebook and even Windows Media Center using AirPlay / AirTunes technology.
Works also with iOS 5.

How do you get the "Live TV" option on your home screen?
beluchi852 1 year ago
@beluchi852 it's the xbmc pvr testing branch installed together with tvheadend. To use it simply add the following repository to your apt:
ppa:lars-opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr
