  • i don't get what's with people and john petrucci, he's good but he's not anywhere near the fastest

  • Paul Gilbert Rules!

  • even if this wasnt fake, it still sounds shit

  • Chileno el compadre po! Buena polera de Deep Purple wn! Maestro!

  • FAKE

  • He must masturbate a lot to be able to do that..

  • Petrucci fans are ignorant.

  • Fake

  • Much nicer guitar than Della Vega

  • hey ahhmm, i've seen della vega's video and sure he made lots of mistakes here and there, and someone told me too, that this is really the required song to make a record for fastest guitarist category and not the flight of the bumblebee, but when i go to the guinness site, and search for fastest guitarist i found della vega's name, Tiago Alberto de Quadros a.k.a. Thiago della Vega....

  • ok this is the guinnesse record but his is not the fastest guitar player.

to me theres a lot of guitar player that play by far fast than that like. Rusty Cooley, Michael Angelo, Shawn Lane rip, and more

  • Michael Angelo Batio < Thats for who wana see the reall fastes guitar player

  • @crazymanny707070

    nope. watch?v=sVHVXopRmI8

  • @FeedMeForiAmATroll Alright maybe he strums faster, playing fast solos that impress no one beats Michael (Im not a fan of Michael)

  • @crazymanny707070

that's open to interpretation, but michael always did have a crazy shred stage presence with those double and quadruple neck guitars and that over and under technique. musically though, nobody impresses me more than shawn lane. nobody in history could play everything he played. i see a handful of people that can cover MAB songs perfectly.

  • @crazymanny707070

Michael was shocked when he heard Shawn Lane and called him the Jedi Knight of the guitar. If Michael and the rest of the entire professional guitar world is that impressed with Shawn Lane then he is obviously better at impressing people than Michael.

  • jkakjsajksa xd!!! Y es chileno !! jksajksaas VIVA CHILE CTM XD

  • this is just a fucken fake video..... look at movement of the guitarist when he plays fast.... video was going faster then before

  • Maybe he isnt buckethead, kirk hammet, slash or whatever, but If he isnt the most faster why in the book Guinness world records 2009 says that Jose del Rio (he) is the most faster?

  • @zarakate2009

because guiness is retarded and fails to look properly for the fastest guitarist. i was capable of playing faster and more technically within 2 years of guitar playing.

  • needs distortion..and yngwie malmsteen is just as good as this guy...if not better. Jon Petrucci as well. This guy is fast though.

  • you are right! its sounds like shit. its not the fastest for me

  • This guy is to sloow man :)

  • love the T-shirt

  • Shawn Lane would have a little smile on is face if he could watch this...

  • @jonasgatto

rofl i know. if shawn lane and this guy got in a guitar battle shawn would make him cry.

  • Good job. Not even sweep picking and its all 1 string at a time. Hard to do

  • Seen faster

  • That aint fast !

  • YIKES!!! This is considered good guitar playing... anytime I hear "dueling banjos" it makes me think of the movie "deliverence" - freaky scary weirded out!!! If you're going to showcase your skills, why pick a suck song like this???

  • This isn't Fast...

  • he looks like heath ledger r.i.p

  • HE is the fastest in the world because petrucci had never tried it yet XD

  • @domochorulez Petrucci doesn't want to go to World Domination Mode and kill the Guinness World Record staff.

  • @FranLesPaul

doctor hotlicks now holds the official guiness world record at 600 bpm playing flight of the bumblebee. he beat the video you linked by 180 bpm. watch?v=sVHVXopRmI8 here is the video. for verification just click the links he gave in the description.

  • @FeedMeForiAmATroll I know man, he contacted me a couple of months ago, before Guinness recognised him as the fastest, to check his attempt out. So did he with this video you're giving me now. It's just that I forgot to update this video, but I have now, thanks for the reminder!

  • @FranLesPaul Tiago still has the record he beat mrhot licks with 750bpm

  • @domochorulez Please tell me you are joking!

  • oh no! we aint all gonna get ass packed now

  • rio sucks, VEGA MURDERS

  • i´ve seen a vid where a guy plays some shit on 320 bpm

  • Della Vega killed this.

  • Yawn....

    Shane Lane ftw.

  • dela vega is not fake u are fake!

  • Comment removed

  • sucks balls

  • Is he John Travoltas secret son or something ?

  • pretty sure you sped up your playing with a sound editing program while the actual background music was sped up. dont really think youre pulling it off

  • ive seen 320 bpm

  • I've seen faster, but still good man

  • Can't say I haven't seen faster.

  • Pretty good! But he should try picking with a loose wrist, like Al Dimiola(wrong spelling). But still cool.

  • this guy is good

  • im chileno but i prefer della vega

  • El record lo tiene jose del Rio, para ganar el record hay que tocar el tema duelling banjos, con guitarra de 6 cuerdas sin efx. Escuchaste la version 2006 de del rio del vuelo del moscardon? myspace/josedelrio

  • this sucks

  • Mmm ok but he's only playing the same melody over and over again, he's probably been practicing the same thing for months.

To see actual speed throughout full songs look up Michael Angelo Batio, Paul Gilbert, etc etc....some of the world's best guitarists, easily faster than this guy, but they don't need a Guiness stamp on them =P

  • If you want to see "fast" for this song...

Look up Todd Taylor. He won the official world record with Guiness, for playing Dueling Banjos at something 220bpm if I remember correctly. I didn't hear any errors, either.

  • HOLLY FUCK MAN LOL.

  • fastest? nah

  • hey im pretty sure i can play faster than this, i can alternate pick and string skip cleanly @ about 280bpm does any one know anything bout the rules for this record, do u have to play this song etc? im just really curious cos i think i could have a shot at it. not trying to give this guy shit, cos he is fucking good. but if anyone does know please reply or sumin, that, and i cant find the tabs for what he is playing anywhere. thanx

  • There doesn't seem to be many rules because both Della Vega and this guy are not picking in sync with their left hand at top speed. The fastest living guitar player is little known Dannyjoe Carter, however, I believe Todd Duanne is the best over all and can play at a similar speed. Around 17-18 notes per second.

  • im going to make a song with the tempo at 2000bpm, but its only guna have 6notes in it and say implaying at 2000 bpm

  • della vega is just as shit

  • this sucks balls, i want to shoot my ear so that i cant hear that horror death shit guuitar ass

  • iam chilean and i think that this is...

    INCREDIBLE !!

  • why dont you do it then you ignorant fuck ??? =D

  • FAKE

  • you suck!

  • might be fast, But it sounds like shit. So it's no use .p

  • mula

  • Weak and sloppy...............

  • I would like to see you do better.

  • Hey Look Its Tom Araya From Slayer lol

  • Who is this

  • You'll see it at guinnessworldrecordsdotcom

  • nope.

  • Tiago is a complete Fake

  • Dellavega was disqualified months ago, pal. José del Río is the current record holder. Visit the "Guinness World Records" official website and you'll see it.

  • this is a joke right?

  • nope.

  • @FranLesPaul

umm...david shankle hit 36 nps in his demonic solo which is so far beyond what this poser does it's hilarious. francesco fareri also hit 36 nps in his song secrets within. even i can play faster than this, this guy is a total joke.

  • @Fluffypopcicle I know that, I can play faster too, but to be a guinness world record holder you have to play what they want at the speed they tell you w/ error.

And he was the only one without error.

  • @FranLesPaul

oh, so in other words they sent something really easy, but all the people that tried it besides this guy sucked donkey balls at guitar.

  • @Fluffypopcicle,

NO ONE has played 36 NPS! That would be the equivalent of 16th-notes at 540 BPM or 32nd-notes at 270 BPM?!?

Did you personally calculate these ridiculous stats, or did you trust what someone else posted somewhere? Either way, you're wrong - LOL!

I've slowed-down some of these guys (Shawn Lane, Rusty Cooley, Francesco Fereri, Theodore Ziras, Tiago Della Vega, etc.) with pro-transcribing-software, and I haven't clocked ANYBODY over 24 NPS! (Mostly between 21 -24 NPS.)

  • @billmeedog

6 3 string sweeps in 1 second. david shankle and francesco fareri have both done it. francesco also hit 33 nps in suspension. these are facts, deal with it.

  • @Fluffypopcicle,

OK genius, here's some real complicated math for you, OK: (6) x 3-string sweeps in one-second's time = 18 N.P.S.

Now I suppose you're gonna come back and say: "Oh, ummm, I meant: (6) x 6-string-sweeps in one-second, so deal with THAT!"

Look, I've slowed all this stuff down, I know the facts. As I asked you in the previous comment: "Did you personally slow down ANY of these songs with professional-transcribibg software?" Your NPS numbers are humanly-impossible.

  • @billmeedog rofl okay, let me explain, since you can't understand simple math. one 3 string sweep = six notes. 6 3 string sweeps = 6 x 6. 6 x 6 = 36. 36 nps.

  • @Fluffypopcicle, First of all, a single-sweep (regardless of the number-of-strings) IS NOT considered BOTH ascending AND descending! Anyways, FF NEVER played 12 x 3-note-sweeps-per-sec (6-in-each-direction.) I slowed-down his sweeps. They're SLOWER than his scale-runs. If you did YOUR OWN fact-checking, you'd know that his (and MOST players') linear-runs are faster than their sweeps! I asked you 3-TIMES if you slowed-down these solos, and STILL NO ANSWER! So you just spew baseless-facts. Weak.

  • @billmeedog

6 in each direction? you're retarded. you obviously don't know what a full 3 string sweep is. i was generalizing. almost nobody just sweeps descending or ascending, they do both. 1 FULL 3 string sweep = 6 nps.

  • @Fluffypopcicle,

When I said "6-in-each-direction," that meant 6 x 3-note ASCENDING SWEEPS, and 6 x 3-note DESCENDING SWEEPS. This is all a moot point, since FF NEVER swept 36-NPS! (I measured his sweeps, did you? - I ask you for the 4th time?) BTW, there are COUNTLESS examples of ASCENDING-ONLY sweeps dummy! Get the rocks out of your head geology-boy! You've got the late-great JC on your team. Make him proud and actually prove something to the world (beside how FUCKING STUPID you are!)

  • @billmeedog

rofl i might have explained this wrong, but i will explain it one one last time. by 3 string sweep, i mean the most common thing associated with that which = 6 nps. in francesco's song secrets within he hit 6 of those in 1 second. 6 x 6 = 36. do the math. in david shankle's demonic solo, he did same. i honestly don't give a shit about descending ascending theory, but i have slowed this down, calculated it, and it is 36 nps. it's simple math, you can't argue with it, end of story.

  • @Fluffypopcicle,

I'm actually glad you mentioned "Secrets Within" by FF, because that was the song which I slowed down by him! Seriously, can you just give me a 10-second segment where you think he does these sweeps? For example, you could tell me: "It's between 0:36 - 0:46.") I had gone through that whole song (which is a relentless and face-melting example of shred!) and thought I had isolated the fastest sweeps. I could've missed it I suppose... I'm human - LOL!

  • @billmeedog

3:13 to 3:14 should be where it happens. sorry for the misunderstanding, i should have been much more specific. also, check out david shankle's demonic solo. i'll watch it again and then find the second where he does it. oh, and i don't have the actual song, so when i refer to 3:13 to 3:14 or around there i mean the video that he posted on his youtube account.

  • @billmeedog Dude, don't argue with the illiterate troll. If he can't multiply 6 by 3, it's his problem. You're right about every single thing. We all know that one of the most perfect machines is the human hand, but motions required to play near 30 nps are inhuman in a way that one note has to last 0.02 seconds which is well, not possible. Even if your hands could do that your brain can't process it. Way too much for reflexes too.

  • @FranLesPaul,

    Thanks for the support man!

I can't let someone state crazy-stats that are pure-BULLSHIT! Out of curiousity (and probably because as a player, I'm slower than SHIT - 9.3-NPS - LOL!)

I clocked Shawn Lane, Tiago Della Vega, Theo Ziras, Francesco Fereri, and they're ALL super-fast! The fastest stuff (assuming it was legit!) was linear/chromatics at about 24.17-NPS (16ths@370BPM - TDV & TZ) Most of it was between 18 and 24-NPS. (I still wanna measure Rusty Cooley though!)

  • WEENA la cagaste wn :D dle las condes!!

  • there a faster guitar player how played around 350 beats a minute

  • Soo fast it looks FFW. Amazing

  • Ow...that hurts my hand just watching.

  • cool my name is josé to and its NOT jose it is josé it dosent exist jose unly josé

  • hi jose

  • Hey Jose.

  • fan deep purple! you cool

  • José del Río is the current record holder. You'll find this at the "Guinness World Records" official website.

I suggest you to watch also the great Todd Taylor playing the Banjo part of this song to set the speed record for his instrument. Note that both videos are reloaded by the organization weekly.
