I am taking Suboxone, which is bupe with naloxone, and it has completely taken away all of my chronic pain I've dealt with in my spine due to disease for the past 4 years! I took pill after pill every day, until it became abuse and no amount of hydro or morphine could take the pain away. I was always at a "7" or "8" on the pain scale. Now, my pain is less than a "1!" It has been amazing. I do not crave any drugs anymore. It's changed my life!
The problem is not with the drug at all. There is a positive good use for Oxycontin, and Morphine, and Diacetylmorphine, and Codeine , and Diluadid, and Demerol, and Hydrocodone, and all other opiates. Some people will have to become terminally ill with cancer to see this truth. People who suffer back pain, and kidney stones, and children who are burned in house fires, and people who have arms pulled off their bodies in car wrecks need narcotics for some quality of life.
idk why doctors give out medication which they know the user can or may be addicted to make them addicts someone can have a broken leg give them pain killers they may take more than one theres a big chance theyll be an addict who is the main problem the ones addicted or the ones who supply these opiods make the world safer.
TO ALL SEEKING HELP WITH ADDICTION: You need to look into treatment with a drug called Ibogaine. Ibogaine is an addiction interruptor, not a maintenance drug like methadone or suboxone. Ibogaine will stop your withdrawal, elevate your mood, and stop cravings. I have Ibogaine videos faved on my chanel. It is not legal in the U.S., but there are clinics in Mexico. Two I know of are 1. Dream House 2. Villa Serena. Good luck to all!!
ive been addicted to codeine for 7 years, and finally admitted it to my family and dr. i was taking 40 30mg tabs a day so the dr has put me on a substitute called dihyrocodeine continuous which i take 240mgs twice a day. no more withdrawls but i have swollen ankles and painfull joints. does anyone know anything about this drug.
For anyone scared of quitting due to withdrawls, etc. but still want to, if you can get buprenorphine, get it, and do it. You will have to stop your other opiates for 12 to 24 hours first, or you will go thru HORRIBLE withdrawls if you take the buprenorphine too early b4 the other opiates are out of your system. But once you start the bup. for most people, it works WONDERS. You will be glad you did. For some, methadone works well, for others, buprenorphine.
@gothenburgmark buprenorphine is an opioid; hence why it takes away opioid w/d's. If people must use it, it should only be used for 10 days tops! If used longer then 10 days, the w/d's from buprenorphine will last 10 times longer then oxy or heroin w/d's. It's like giving a alcoholic beer to help with whiskey w/d's.
Iv'e used cocaine (insuffalated) for ten yeras...since I was 13. It burned a hole through my bridge. For the past 4 months I've been snorting 4-5 bags of heroin... Recently I was aressted in Chicago for buying a jab...Today I got on Suboxone...No lie, the craving is gone after takin 16 mgs!
Hey, I don't know about everyone else, but it works great for me, even better than methadone. I sometimes even forget to take it, if it wasn't for the disconfort I feel from arthritist, I forget to take it sometimes.
I´ve never been on heroin but I´m taking suboxone (from a friend) to fight my strong depressions and it works...it´s the only thing that has helped me, but it´s makin´ me so numb but the pain isn´t there anymore....I don´t know
I don´t take subo anymore, the last time I took it was..hm...I think 4 months ago.
I now live with a good friend together and we both make our abitur...away from my parents, that helped a lot. Now I just take Bromazanil, but just in very bad times. And I must say I had no problems or sideeffects when I quit taking subo. I still think it´s a good thing, but it always depends on your personality.
wow thanx for your reply, if u don'tmind telling me, how long & how much were you taking of the suboxone & you stopped cold turkey w/ no withdrawal symtoms?
@falloftroy00 You had no w/d's when you quit suboxone? How long were you taking it? You are the first person I've ever heard of not having w/d's when stopping suboxone... Please share how you achieved this. Thanks!
I used 80mg-160+ (up to 240mg) of oxycontin a day, or K4 hydromorphone-dilaudid's.. at first i was just taking oxy by snorting it, once i started to inject the drug though things went down hill fast, i started injecting k4's but prefered oxys, it got bad so fast in only 4 months i was stealing and withdraws were bad, but i got on suboxone and have been clean 5 months!
@willyboxc Congrats on stopping oxy! However suboxone was made to be taken for 10 days tops, to help with SEVERE withdrawals. I hope you didn't mean you have been taking suboxone for 5 months... I did that and the W/D's were literally 10 times worse. Taking suboxone is just as bad as taking oxy if done everyday; it should only be taken for 10 days tops! Doctors and pharma companies won't tell you this; the only reason why that I can come up with is, money! Its a shame.
@opiateHELP Wow haha its funny reading something like that, that i had wrote 3 years ago... i struggled with that addiction to suboxone for 2 years... and i never had any clean time or recovery!! I finally 9 months ago got into the program after a long hard road of trying to do it on my own NA (Narcotics Anonymous) is the only thing that got me clean!! Any mind or mood altering chemical! Suboxone is not a quick fix... i hope people find that out.. because it was hard! NA IS AWESOME THOUGH!
alot of my friends are on suboxone and say it helps them alot. i've taken it in dsetox and it has helped alot. i've tried to contact doctors that prescribe this medication but everytime i contact them they have no openings. i was in rehab about 2 months ago and they had suggested i take this medication for maitenance and my outpatient suggested it also. i just dont know what to do anymore. if anyones in the buffalo new york area and knows a way to help please contact me.-Justin
Justin from buffalo, there is alot of programs if you look in the phone book under holistic medicine you can find a doctor that will help you.Why I say holistic is most of them perscribe suboxone. If you dont want to go to a horizon group and be monitered frequently you can see one of these doctors. They will monitor you but not as severe. The downside they usually dont take insurance they usually make you pay cash and can be pricy first visit like 250 and then 65 dollars after first visit.
This needs to be on cable and use the word suboxone. Thats how they know it on the street. It worked for me after trying to quit with methadone. I tell all kinds of people and leave paperwork every I go so anyone can read it.
Suboxone won't make you want to quit only allow someone to quit if they want to. Counseling is still an important component. Withdrawal is actually symptoms of brain alterations caused by chronic drug taking. Suboxone suppresses these symptoms, of course, if you stop taking it, the symptoms will reemerge. Suboxone is not causing the withdrawal, it is from the brain changes that existed before you ever took the sub. After years of addiction it was the only thing that allowed me to stop.
@JakeG1976 How did you go about stopping the suboxone and getting through the 40 days+ W/D's? Congrats on getting clean! That's awesome! The reason you don't feel opioid w/d's while taking suboxone is becasue suboxone is an opioid. Go figure, huh?
When I first Started Takin Suboxone It worked miracles. But For some reason, after awhile The Urge to get high Out weighed My urgre to stay clean and I stopped takin It, and went back to using. I got back on em about a month before I went to rehab. The rehab I went to was 100% percent abstanance from all drugs. Evenin after weaning off the suboxone I went through some pretty horrible withdrawls. Alot of people dont realise this. Suboxone does have withdrawls.
