Im with colt with this... just because you have a beef with the woman/group/whatever, doesnt mean that her/their talent is any less deminished. Now what I would like to know is just how in the hell you determined that they (Darby and whomever else you are accusing) made mockery of, or otherwise disparraged. If this were the case, why havent we heard or read of any lawsuits launched against them, as this sort of thing constitutes harrassment and public humiliation. I think yer amps blown a tube!!

Who is the Dave Navarro impersonator playing guitar? Darby is a joke calling herself the Headpins. Mr. Brian Mcleod was the Headpins sound and creative soul. Sadly Brian is long gone, and Darby is a little less then ethical. I watched her and her bass player at the time make fun of, and laugh at some deaf people who were dancing by the stage during a show in Halifax around 1990. They thought it was funny, doesn't say much for Darby's character.

I've met her as well, I was a co-owner of the club she was playing in at the time. What does her voice have to do with her actions? I assume you believe because she was nice to you that she must be a great human being. Regardless, I don't take very seriously being called an asshole by someone who, from the looks of the post, was either drunk, or is illiterate. Have a nice day.

The problem with the sound is that the camera is directly in front of the stage. It's only is picking up instrument amplifiers and drums - all the vocals are going through the main PA speakers off to either side. The band also gets vocal sound through their monitors, but only they can hear them clearly. This problem is usually solved by having smaller "fill" speakers pointed at the front of the stage. But, this is a small venue, so no budget for that. It probably sounded good to the sound man...
