I will take Hermione Granger as a role model over someone like Bella Swan any day. Hermione never apologized for being a "know-it-all," loved learning, often went above and beyond to help her friends, and had truly badass moments. And she never strung Harry along while secretly crushing on Ron. The three of them had a REAL friendship, not a soap-opera love triangle.

I think it makes perfect sense that Hermione ends up with Ron...Harry may be more on her intellectual level, but girls who tend to be "bookworms" kind of go for guys who can make them laugh. And I think she definitely wants to take care of him.

@princesskittenpants1 in some ways I agree with you, and I enjoy the banter of Ron and Hermione in the books, but I like Hermione and Harry's relationship a lot more. True, maybe if they had been together it would have been a bit "boring", but I'm not really into the kind of relationships where they argue all the time.

And it also doesn't hurt that Emma Watson and Dan Radcliffe have way more chemistry than Emma and Rupert Grint! :)

@princesskittenpants1 Not to disagree, only to add to the defence of bookworms who really find the "funny guy" quite repulsive >.> I am a complete study dork in a medical degree, and I could not find Ron's character more irritating. Many educationally-obsessed women do, in fact, much prefer the sobriety in personality expressed by Harry and not Ron. To be honest, I would rather Draco or Tom Riddle than even the latter!
