  • Love em' all. Thanks. I have a question. If a modern orchestra performs one of the above - Is it still classical? I always felt that a classical piece played today must be played by not only authentic or replica instruments, but also the proper number/ratio of instruments. And period tuning. Thanks.

  • Thumbs up if your teacher always put these type of song while you're doing your assignments .

  • Nice video ;) Thnx for posting

  • Eine Kleine Nachtmusik with brass! Very different between it and strings!

  • thumbs up if you heard this from your radio in saints row the third game

  • @greatman63 learn good music, and come back when you actually know what you are talking about.

  • @PeanutButterGravy If you know what you are talking about then explain how no one has ever heard of these musics, but he has listened to those musics i refer to. How can a music be the "best" when no one knows about it. These things are boring, but those musics i am talking about are active, they interest you, they don't make you sleep or anything else. They are perfect in the entire duration, not just a few good parts and then boring again. I mean some musicians just play any note they see...

  • @greatman63 ...first, i have tryed that with my brother's pianno and it was EXACTLY THE SAME THING! how unbelievable or propable can that be!? me with a musician play the same way and i don't have any idea how to play the pianno! This proves that good music is a music with purpose to transfer to you the musicians thoughts. Make you live in another place in a matter of miliseconds. Please reply, i want to hear your opinion.

  • Air on a G string lol

  • OH I hate opera.

  • I love classical music! Your mind just relaxes. When i do homework while listening to classical music my mind just flows and its easier for me to do work. Its amazing!

  • Classy.

  • Thumbs up if you're doing your homework while listening to this.

  • @067966911 thumbs up if this is part of your homework.

  • @067966911 haha I am :P

  • @067966911 smart students need special music to concentrate :P

  • Nice list but number 3 and number 8 don't quite belong to such a list. Here is my top 10 off the top of my head in no particular order: Adagio in G Minor (Albinoni) Four Seasons, Summer (Vivaldi) Four Seasons, Winter (Vivaldi) Symphony No. 25 in G Minor (Mozart) Symphony No. 40 in G Minor (Mozart) Für Elise (Beethoven) Air on the G String (Bach) Trio in E Flat, Op 100 (Schubert) Hungarian Dance (Brahms) Jazz Suite No.2 (Shostakovich)
  • Top 10 of classical music and i only know just 2,3 of all those bullshits. Where are all those musics that are played at the end of every concert or in cartoons (you know what i mean). Delete video.

  • @greatman63 it just means that your knowledge of classical music is not enough.

  • where's canon, i really loved it!

  • Great i love classical music.

  • Dvorzak- Song to the Moon, is not on the list but must be!

  • I remember a lot of popular classical music, but it's weird how I never really see any radio stations dedicated to these songs. Well, there probably is, but it mustn't be that popular.

  • Fuck this shit im going back to metal music

  • @123SLIPKNOTRULE without this there is nothing, im also a metalhead, but to diss classical music? metal is inspired mostly with classical than rock n roll. remember that silly.

  • Thanks for putting the name of the symphony and the composer at the beggining of each one, cuz i got hard times looking for peices of music i didnt know neither the composer nor the lyrics! lollllz!

  • all of this song reminds me of tom and jerry

  • I didn´t like these choices. Where is the concert nº 21 of Mozart, La Traviata, and so one?

  • I love classical music!

    Germans > the world

Uh oh... I don't think I'm aloud to say that after WW2...

  • @SagaciousSilence

Sorry Mozart for example was an Austrian.

  • gracias gracias muchas gracias

  • no Liszt? no Wagner? no Berlioz? no Tchaikovsky? hmpf

  • @TheGreatestChuck Tchaikovsky and Berlioz are romantic composers, not classical. Alot of people seem to assume all music from 19th century below are classical. They aren't :)

  • @kentaokabe yeah, but this compilation includes only 2 composers from the Classical Period... so I was following the uploader's inclusion of all pre-20th century music in classical music. Also I should know which period Tchaikovsky and Berlioz are from: having written a number of papers on them and the period.

(though wikipedia does classify western music from the 11th century onwards as classical music)

  • u disappoint me no franz liszt

  • and nothing from Liszt Ferenc or even from Kodály or Bartók? :O

  • bach loves g strings!!!!!!

  • Number 5: Ludwig van Beethoven - Fur Elise

The title should be "Für Elise", but not "Fur Elise".

  • Fantastic! Thanks for uploading this. Familiar music to most of us but to see the image of the composer and the proper name of the piece was fascinating. If I wanted something more it would be for you to include the year it was composed.

  • go fuck yourself for not playing pachabell D major

  • @MusicThroughTime, you are right; quite classics, for the beginners.

  • wow god beethoven i love that song!

  • no. 6 reminds me of the citv show ZZZAP! on in the 90's

  • all of them is like a package of shit

  • LOL TOM AND JERRY LOL

  • Don't know why people are complaining. It's HIS opinion of the greatest classical music.

  • No Mahler? Puh-lease...

  • @Dan474834 And Saint-Saens

  • Comment removed

  • the 9th is not infernal gallop. it's called orpheus in the underworld.

  • first song.... makes u think of raven and laugh even tho the joke was stupid

  • Damn this is not a list, is a joke. To rank Beethoven Fur Elise as his greatest masterpiece is like to compare Beethoven with Britney Spears (Obviously Fur Elise is far better than anything Britney ever wrote)

  • @vinciano It may not be his best but it´s the most well know... (Besides moonlight sonata)

  • @Misducky03 so this list thould be called most rhetoric works in classical music or best known works in classical music.

  • @vinciano sorry but that comparison did not match similar context.

  • @iceseekers indeed. And to consider Fur Elise the top work of Beethoven didn't match any logical context.

  • @vinciano that's a fair argument, I was just confused by the comparison of "Beethoven's fur elise ranking among his top songs.. to... Beethoven's talent to Britney Spears' talent."

  • @iceseekers I consider that only people that like that "kind" of pop music could consider the beautiful Fur Elise the greatest work of Beethoven.

  • @vinciano ah okay i see what you're saying.

  • @vinciano YEAH DON'T FORGET EDVARD GRIEG'S IN THE HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING

  • @Nickmaster8811 Grieg is not in the top 50 of all time. Be serious

  • @vinciano Yeah, like she ever wrote something on her own.

The only thing she could handle alone was her bald head

  • You can't put on this Lisz "Bizet's Habanera" because is a piece of a work and not a work in itself.

  • This is all great music! But where is Andrea Bocelli!

  • best 10 used in tom and jerry .... u forgot about some of the greatest composer ever but all the 10 are so great ... thx :)

  • Great, great pieces of art. If only music like this were still popular through out the world...what a shame that rap came.

  • @ajax637

    and not only rap.

  • @chucknorrisislegend EMINEM IS GAY I'D RATHER LISTEN TO RICKY MARTIN
