Why not go back and check your facts. The Community Housing Act or whatever the hell it's called was the primary backbone of the downturn. That was put into place by the peanut farmer. Clinton renewed it and pushed for more housing and loans to people who no way in hell could afford them. We were experiencing economic growth up until, I don't know 2006, when the Dems took control. Then it went to shit.

Banks and lenders had the benefit of Bush taking away regulations and so they took advantage of not having to be accountable and didnt explain loan terms in simple language for those purchasing homes!!
