Not a bad effort, but I think it would have been a bit more interesting to see you guys try to create an original universe instead of just making a sequel to Begins. You clearly had the resources, and it would have been cool to see what you could have done without using the Nolan universe as a crutch.

Thanks... it's best to see Dark Descent, as it shows the film for what it is worth 100%. Thanks for the comments, and I know that about the acting. And, we wanted to go for more of a Michael Mann (Miami Vice/ Collateral) type of look with it almost feeling like you were next to the characters.
3. What was Gordon there for? He offered nothing to the plot and what was with Dent on the rooftop? He reminded me of a scared cat looking into the headlights of an oncoming car. And why kill Rachel Dawes off in the first 10 minutes.
And, Rachel got killed early on so there was more of a tension between Batman and the Joker. It was a shock to all... woah, she got killed in the first 10 mins?! Think Julianne Moore in Children of Men. And, the relationship ends up working perfectly. Joker kills his love(Rachel) and then his best friend(Harvey). And it all leads up to the battle royale Duality, which you should watch.
3. Was Harvey Dent an Assistant District Attorney or a retard? The guy couldn't say his lines. That's when you yell "cut" and have him do it again. I fear what your outtakes must have looked like.
3. Harvey's an angry guy. He just... want's something new. He's odd, and in this film, we catch him at his worst time.
3.<--? Gordon was there to help Batman get his info, and introduce him to Dent. He served the purpose of telling the story---- did you even watch Duality? It was filmed back-to-back with this, and explains everything.

1. When you use saw dust as a toxin, be sure to wipe it off of Batman before you show him on camera again. Because you can clearly see it on his costume.

I appreciate the effort as a huge Batman fan, and a REALLY big fan of Nolan's work on the mythos. But this, this was just disgusting. The dude who plays Bruce is a retard. His voice is pathetic both as Bruce and Batman. Harvey is a joke. The only half decent performance was the Rachel chick, ironic considering she was the worst in the actual movie. I'm not even going to get into the atrocious dialogue and plot.
Oh, ok. Because the dialogue between Jim Gordon and Batman left it kind of ambiguous. My only advice would be to edit that scene a little, and make it slightly more clear than Crane is in fact, back in Arkham.

you know what, i'm also going to suggest either a better editor, or a better editing program. lets go with final cut pro. works best for macintosh computers. and as for really good cameras on the slightly cheaper side, go for a panasonic dvx 100. in final cut pro, you can edit the voice so the actor doesn't have to make his voice sound like a dead horse speaking. ya..needs work haha

I know what you're saying, and that is how the original franchise fell on it's face... but, I just wanted to try to this story of mine that I had... and it seemed to fit as a Batman Begins sequel.

Oh, ok. Because the dialogue between Jim Gordon and Batman left it kind of ambiguous. My only advice would be to edit that scene a little, and make it slightly more clear than Crane is in fact, back in Arkham.

I agree nofx, we have made better things with garbage. No, seriously, remember that project, "Garbage Island" Attack of the poison diapers. That smelled aweful. But still, we cut it better than this, yo guys, aside from that, check out the KNIGHTS TRAILER.

you know what, i'm also going to suggest either a better editor, or a better editing program. lets go with final cut pro. works best for macintosh computers. and as for really good cameras on the slightly cheaper side, go for a panasonic dvx 100. in final cut pro, you can edit the voice so the actor doesn't have to make his voice sound like a dead horse speaking. ya..needs work haha

alrite, no offense guys, but ive made better bad shit with less resources. you oughta get some better actors and please work on the dialogue. this whole project doesn't seem natural at all. where do you guys live? once again no offense but ive found better actors on the streets. dont even worry about the costumes. you can pull of a batman feel with your own style...no costumes needed. give it your own twist. sorry for all the criticism but i jsut really think it needs a lot of work

I give this a 3 out of 5 stars. decents attempt at a batman story, but I would have done some things different.
Allow me to hand out a friendly challenge, I found a copy of this script online, and I would like to shoot my own version of this. You of course would get credit for writing the script. accept the challenge?

First off joker comes in at the end of batman begins so the story did not fit at all for batman in this video says "Everyone except one" "and gordon was like "the one with the calling card" Now joker was sort of introduced in the end of batman begins and the joker is still loose first off HOW DO THEY NOE HE IS CRAzY and secondly how do they noe the joker escaed arkham

They are merely assuming, because his crimes started occurring right after the Arkham Asylum escape. They know he's crazy because they have seen surveillance tape of him at the gas station. They have seen his Joker cards left behind at the scene of each and every murder he committed.

nice effects with Two-Face, btw, especially for high schoolers. But why exactly does the Joker have "peeling skin"? That's certainly an original interpretation.

Did you get a chance to check out it's sequel Batman Duality? Anyway the peeling skin, just something twisted to throw at the audience.
Oh, and there are much clear versions of this film if you search for Batman Dark Descent. There are 2 parts and it makes up Batman Brutality and Batman Duality.

great but u know what would make a great movie, a movie where the bad guy is the superstar, then u get to see whats going on in the mind of, for example, two face.

interesting idea. i love those too. but the problem with that, tho, is that it shoves Batman, the protagonist and title character, into the background. take a look at the original franchise u got all these scenes with Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, etc...but wait...i thought those was Batman movies...where's BATMAN in those movies? ...see my point?

I know what you're saying, and that is how the original franchise fell on it's face... but, I just wanted to try to this story of mine that I had... and it seemed to fit as a Batman Begins sequel.

The Batman voice made me cringe. I know the actor was trying to sound like Bale, but he just.. didn't. Anyway, I gave the movie 5 stars for the effort alone in making a 24min Batman movie. It's fun to notice how everything improves during the two movies. Anyway, good job, and keep going with it.
