you nailed it. I was bored with it, but I know that if this came out when I was 8 years old I would have loved the action figures and bought a t-shirt. Id much rather see a super Sci-Fi sequel take place on an alien planet. The best scene in the movie was the scene with all thre green lanterns doing battle in space.

Great review. I'm pretty much on the same page as you regarding this film. I've always loved the Green Lantern character, but was hoping for a bit more from the film. Hate the close up kiss at the end with Hal's CGI hand stroking her face. Remember when Sinestro tells Hal he's too week to be a member of the lantern core? That's funny because they show a jellyfish green lantern at one point.

Great review dude and I agree...I don't know much more about the character after seeing the movie than I did before I saw it lol but it was still entertaining enough.

I've seen a lot worse than this to be honest. No classic but watchable. Obviously expectations were sky high for many people but I didn't know anything about the Green Lantern prior to seeing it so wasn't as disappointed as others. An unusual misfire by the otherwise solid director Martin Campbell perhaps. I will say tho I was a bit disappointed with picture quality on the bluray. And oh yeah, Blake Lively is smokin' hot!

Tbh, I didn't mind this film that much. Sure, I was incredibly disappointed. But it was enjoyable, Ryan Reynolds performance was some-what strong. Not a great movie at'all, but again, mildly enjoyable! Great review my friend, very nice indeed!

I wasn't a huge fan of this. I was mostly just bored throughout the whole movie which should never be the case with a popcorn movie. The only major problem I had was the CGI, it just looked way too cartoony most of the time. But I do agree that I wish we could have seen more of the other Green Lanterns. Nice review though, glad to see you doing more of these!

@PefferReviews I guess they had budget cuts or something, which explains the cartoonish cgi. Maybe the sequel will feature more of the other Green Lanterns. lol Keep watching and I'll keep making these reviews! Going to try and start reviewing new releases.

@SiilentMiike Apparently the budget was $200 million, not sure what all that went into though. I'll definitely keep watching, I'm trying to do them more often as well like every other day or so hopefully.

Awesome review, diggin the green screen especially fitting for this one. I enjoyed Green Lantern for what it was a fun action comic book movie, popcorn flick all the way. The middle sagged a bit though but still a fun ride.

I watched this movie online when it came out. i should give it another try. all i remember was there was some final scene at the end where one of em turned gold. yeah i should watch it again i don't remember shit about it. lol

Sinestro becomes the ultimate villian in the GL comics he has a yellow power ring which is the one color that Green lanterns power ring won't work on it.

@SiilentMiike If there is a sequel you will see more sinstro mainly he is the Lex Luthor to Hal's Superman. You know the original Cl was put out in the 40's he was Alan Scot and his powers were mor magical. In the 60's DC updated the cration and came up with hal Jordan. In the early 80's the Green lantern Corp was created and the world was intorduced to Killiwog and company. Around the same time Hal Jordan was killed off as a Green latern .

Green Lantern was a huge comic from when i was a kid. Green was a decent movie. The problem is that they mixed Green lantern with the Green Lantern corp which did not come around for many years after Hal Jordan was picked.

Nice green screen! I thought Green Lantern was okay but I found it funny when the year before the release, DC were hyping the hell out of it with promos and then when the public criticized the film, they were pretty silent. Sadly, I'm not looking forward to a sequel

@SiilentMiike One of the comic cons of last year announced they are in development with a 2nd film. I believe its even with the same director D= the horror! I tried green screen and it could be the lighting and keying out part of editing. What program are you using? I don't have a big enough space for one which is why you get the lovely door in the background haha.
