  • I had Tim Stafford as a teacher at Augusta Bluegrass week this past summer and he showed us how to play the opening lick to this song. Sorry but I already forgot it and am re-learning it now. I think it was in Drop-D tuneing.

  • these boys got it together

  • Anybody know the chords to this?

  • @callousedAquarius I play it in drop D, capo on 5th fret. This is a Mark Knopfler song, great tune, great version here.

  • yeah rob is choppin the tar out of it he is unreal

  • Been a while since I'd seen this. This is rockin'! Blue Highway is one of the best bands out there now. IMHO.

  • I have to say the infamous stringdusters are on my top...but blue highway is damn good

  • Bluehighway is ON TOP!!! 15yrs and still the same pickers!!! you might think that accomplishment deserves your respect!! I saw there 2nd show @ the down home and at least 3 shows a year since! Even my 14 yr old daughter is a fan!!!! Im rasin her right!!

  • I know what you mean. Our band has been together only about 3 years and already gone through 3 bass players and 2 mando players. LOL.

Its cool to hear your daughter is into bluegrass. I'm 17 and I love bluegrass. Sometimes it gets discouraging because there are so few people my age that likes bluegrass.

    Keep on grassin'!

  • Blue Highway jams!

  • Did You hear what happened to Wayne's Bass

  • great mark knopfler song and great band players

  • Amazing .. I guess U like Blue Highway.

Were going a cruise with them On JUly 1-9th

And I've got this saved as my V log!

  • During the banjo break ... is Rob actually brushing that fast?

  • that'd be my guess. nothing's wrong with my camera so I guess so. I mean, the man IN a genious!

  • Yeah, true, it just looks warp speed when you look at it.

  • o man i saw them a couple weeks ago they opened with this and he does brush that fast its crazy

  • Yeah ... I am pretty sure it is in time, but it just looks warp speed!!

  • BEST BLUEGRASS BAND EVER!

  • Yes They Are!!!

  • I disagree, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs & The Foggy Mountian Boys might be the best Non-gospel (I'm in a bluegrass gospel band) bluegrass band.

Blue Highway is very talented however, perhaps some of the most talented musicians in modern bluegrass.

  • They are definetly the best modern bluegrass band. I agree about Flatt and Scruggs being the all time greatest.

  • i disagree, although blue highway is great...cherryholmes is on top.

  • Well this argument has no winner, but I will take Blue Highway over Cherry Holmes anyday. I like Blue Highways songs better, and I Prefer their picking styles to Cherryholmes.

  • yeah, i agree at the recent pickup in talent as far as bluegrass goes so it is hard to choose...what really makes me love cherryholmes is vocals and song choice.
