Armor cap is below 700. You can get over 1k armor on light armor and you don't even need dragon armor for that.

Heavy armor is pointless and a waste of perks.

@zurvaTM he's playing on PC, there you can hotkey your favourites with numbers or letters, like 1,2,3,4,5. so he doesnt have to bring up the favourite menu to change weapons or spells :P

@Incognitus7 actually, i'm not sure about cloth(stuff without armor rating like gloves, boots, hats, fine clothes) but yeah, you can vary, what matters here is you enchanting skill, i would recomend making destruction/alteration AND conjuration cost no mana, or at least have a set of armor on the ready for these 2 skills while u use you main armor, as a sword/shield nor, i use dragonhide spell(alteration) and summon daedra(conjuration) with no cost makes the game too easy

@Incognitus7 but this is only achieveable very late in game, so unless you intend to cheat, be patient, and keep leveling your enchanting skill, either by disenchanting all of the items u wont use, or by smithing iron daggers, and enchanting them and selling them(leveling smithing,enchanting and smithing all togheter) but DO NOT power-level(level a skill too much, too quickly) or exploit any skill, it will make the game unbalanced and VERY hard later on too..

@Incognitus7 know this, with 100 in enchanting(which is needed to get no mana cost for 1 school of magic) you can get a perk that lets you add to enchantments to one item, you cant use the same enchantment on the same item, but this lets you get 2 school of magic with no cost, or 1 school with no cost+the normal enchanments you would use(Magic resistance, X%+ damage with one-handed weapons..)

Even if using lite armor it is a far better route to go heavy. Growing up one can find good armor around the world and at 100 can anyway craft the best lite armor of the game AND the best default weapons (daedric) of the game. It is 1 more perk so not this deal for a really better advantage.

i have a level 71 character. i maxed out archery and sneaking at first but when i got to making maxed out enchanted items i switched to a battlemage playstyle. 0 mana cost is the most awesomest shit ever. who cares if you can make weapons with 999999 damage, playing a mage and owning like a thunder God is the best!

@EinarProductions just favorite the spells and use the left/right triggers same for dualwielding weapons.(you dont have to favorite them just makes switching between spells easier). theres also a perk in the destruction tree that allows you to combine dualcasting for a more powerful spell by holding both triggers with two of the same spell equipped different effects for different schools but overall usually just makes the spell stronger.

Mind explaining how exactly you got the 67% Magicka Regen? right now if I try enchanting an item with just a grand stone it only gets me 50%, I know you can probably get it higher if wearing gear / using potions.

@orgat you need to be level 100 enchanting and use a grand soul gem, that will get you 25%. The extra 2% he got from using a potion which fortifies enchanting, probably 10-20% fortification
