As for Strider 2 on the Genesis, we'll not talk about that atrocity because it wasn't part of the official Strider series, it was U.S. Gold trying to cash in on the games popularity. They failed miserably.

I really like this sequel but I'm starting to realize why it feels like something's missing - apart from sections of stage 1, the levels are very...blocky and square surface-focused. the first Strider and Osman were all about twists and turns and curves and ramps.. I feel like they threw in the doublejump here as compensation for having so many boring straight, flat level segments.

Capcom should start remaking Strider back into 3D era.

I think Strider were much cooler than Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden in the 2D era in the 90s, but once Tecmo bring Ninja Gaiden into 3D this gen, Strider have no chance anymore.

Capcom really does need to quite Devil May Crap and bring back Strider Hiryu to rival Ryu Hayabusa.

Yeah its not a bad game but not a patch on the original. Good graphics, 3D & CD quality audio but thats about it. Game play sucks & is too easy. The old Megadrive version bops this by far and is still a highly playable game today.

well as a matter of fact you can but you have to get a ISO file of the game or convert it to the PSP format. Decrypt your PSP on your computar, add the ISO file or PSP formated file of strider 2, then encrypt it back on to your PSP. I know this works because I have a friend who did it.
