  • that sliiiide guuuitaaar! man! fvkng good song, I'm back to the 70's whole lotta Energy..I feel 17 again.......Thanks

  • I can not Thank You enough for putting this Great Video. I have seen Foghat in the 70'S they are a Show Band. NEVER lipsync!!!! Everything was REAL!!!! I have download to my OLD ZUNE which I love! It looks new it works new it has a big screen....On my commute to work I will listen to my dear Dave and Rod.up close and personal. R.I.P.

  • Rod Price was probably the best slide guitarist that ever lived. The man was incredible. RIP Brother

  • Foghat can still Rock!

  • Foghat was one of my all time favorite bands, they rocked! Every song was a jam session, rock on guys.

  • @0001busdriver It is still your favorite band?

  • @txpablofry Are Mushrooms still for sale?Yes!Rock on.

  • I have listen to this video at least a 100 times in the past yr. Daves voice and that slide work is fuckin awesome!

  • The version from a concert in 1999 with Dave having short hair is even better. (See Slow Ride Live 1999.) It was taken down about 6 months ago ... :(

  • @777butch777 Yes, Dave had cancer, Slow Ride Live 1999 I loaded that video

  • can anybody tell me who is playing the slide inthis video? I cant find any info on him. I saw Foghat 6 times and he is as close to Rod Price as you can get.

  • @jeffbatpa24 In the slide guitar is Rod Price. In this concert he is fat and old, but still has a wonderful sound on the guitar, sorry for my english, I speak in Spanish

  • @txpablofry are you serious?? It looks nothing like him at all. The Rod Price I remembered all those years moved around on stage and jammed with Lonesome Dave. Oh well....it's still an amazing video...gracias for your reply!

  • @jeffbatpa24 If, Stone Blue of Two Centuries Of Boogie, about 7 minutes to play amazing guitar

  • @jeffbatpa24 It's the original Rod "the bottle" Price. He was called the bottle because of his "bottle slide" playing. Yes, the boys gained weight in their latter years, most Hebrews do! I can say that cause "i am one."

  • @jeffbatpa24 Its Rod Price, yes its really him.

  • Lonesome Dave's Peverett's voice never sounded better. I saw them in the mid-70s at the Spokane, WA Coliseum, the opening act for whom was Brownsville Station (Smokin' in the Boys Room). Foghat played two songs off their new album Night Shift--Burnin the Midnight Oil and this one ... my favorite. They totally kicked ass, as did Brownsville Station. I'll never forget either act.

  • plays that solo effortlessly, thats fuckin badass!!

  • saw foghat with the outlaws in the 80's as a twin bill. this was 1 of the best songs of the night. green grass was the other gr8 song. but foghat rocked something awesome.

  • Fathat is more like it.

  • my daughter is 14 loves foghat drivin wheel had to get her the cd all is right in our world smiles god bless

  • I'M TELLIN YA THIS IS SOME BAD ASS STUFF. That cat can sing and that dude tears that damn guitar upppppppppppp. WOW!!! Thanks

  • Saw them twice back in the 80s, great live band.

  • Good...but maybe is 2000...because the title of the show (2 centuries)..sorry, spanish native!

  • @dipparpl Impossible, Dave Peverett died in February 2000, at the end of 1999, was very ill and had to cancel the show, so in 2000 his health was very bad and Rod Price left the band in 1999, and replaces Bryan Basset, and Bryan does not appear in this show

  • @dipparpl Y por cierto hablo español jajaja, no me di cuenta :)

  • @txpablofry ....vaya, tienes toda la razón!...gracias!

  • @dipparpl ok, tambien soy Chileno ;-)

  • All i can say hot, damn hot. Man He burn those strings up!

  • SLOWWWWWW Ride!!!!!!!!

  • What year was this?? I'm guessing 1995 or so??

  • @455Transam Not sure, but I think it was 96

Excuse my English, I speak Spanish

  • @txpablofry You spoke fine, and thanks for the reply!

  • @455Transam Thanks you

  • FOGHAT STILL KICKIN ASS....

  • It is tough seeing bands you grew up getting old but NO ONE can dispute the fact that they never sounded better then in that video. Rod Price ripped that guitar a new ass. RIP Rod & Dave

  • Группа моей юности......Молодцы!!!

  • Quality Rock 'n' Roll - NOTHING else to say - period.

  • saw them 5 times in the 70's and 80's...loved them every time

  • Dave and Rod were unbelievable.

  • The big guy just kills the slide, best version I ever heard of this song!

  • You guys still rock!

  • Simply the best band in the history of rock and roll. Period. Love this version of 'Drivin' Wheel'!!!!

  • that was a pretty good jam!

  • Man, if this doesn't get your blood flowing and your foot tapping, hang it up! Killer version!

  • great version. thank you for posting. i love them. rip dave and rod.

  • Grew up on this stuff! Always loved the tasteful slide guitar.....true pioneers in music.

  • Those Mesa Triple Reco were Frying! Rock and Roll!

  • worked this show in ND. FOGHAT blew the doors off. this vid is good but they still got it.. LIVE i was there!!!

    Thanks for the post

  • i grew up listenig to these guys,..yea 48 is stil cool

  • another generation gem

  • Iloved them from the beginning. Great song! Shouldn't your title be Two Decades, not Centuries?

  • @oxcarthabu Two Centuries of Boogie is the name of the dvd.

  • @CBum425 Yes

  • great song for the highway! Dave's voice and Rod's slide are an unbeatable combination

  • Miss you Lonesome Dave and Rod Price.

  • These guys so rock. I swear that slide player is just kick-ass. He's like so unassuming, he looks like he could be your neighbor. AWESOME!!!

  • There exists a 1999 version that barely tops this I think, but it is not on here any more.

HOWEVER, this is great. I think this is the best rock song/combo ever, and they were so good live. Unbelievable.

Thanks for posting this so very much.

  • FOGHAT RULES! Rod and Dave I miss you both SO MUCH!

  • @AntoniusRome Foghat is a good band

  • @txpablofry Was this taking place in 2010

  • They are one of the best rock-n-roll bands ever period Dave was one the best frontmen great RnR voice. Roger gave us an autographed bass drum head he busted from pounding it so hard. Rod "the bottle' Grreat guitar, Tony smoked the base. We snuck in whiskey and vodka under the noses of security. Dam, what a show they put on whenever we saw them.

  • awesome guitar

  • @jeltemulder

YEAH , Tell me about it !!!

As usual i've been looking the wrong way at the time .

For instance : I learned about Rory Gallagher after he died .

And now history repeats itself with "lonesome Dave" and this great great lineup of Foghat .

  • First concert I was allowed to go to was Foghat and Montrose. 1975 at the Kiel auditorium in St. Louis. I paid 5.50 for the ticket. Both bands tore the place down. I had only heard them on the albums, I had no idea it could be like that!

  • I saw these guys years ago at the Cow Palace ... they totally kicked ass !!

  • i was at the show in North Dakota Thunder Mountain rock fest 2010.. Foghat STOLE THE SHOW...They rock like it was their first show....Awesome

  • @Nostams- You won't be seeing Lonesome Dave. Sadly, he passed away of cancer in February 2000. RIP Lonesome Dave, you were one of the most soulful rockers of the 70s.

  • Holy crap! Those boys can ROCK! RIP Lonesome Dave. They'll be at RibFest in Naperville, IL in a couple of days hope to see them.

  • Night Shift LP!!!! Love Foghat!!!!!!!!! They received quite a bit of coverage when I was reading Circus Mag in the late '70s.
