I am English and I wish to god that we had someone like Peter Costello leading us,especially after the shit that Blair and Brown left us in.Now I think that Costello is the best Prime Minister that our Australian friends, cousins and allies never had.
After these last disasterous couple of days sitting prior to winter break, I don't suppose Mr Costello would like to reconsider his position would he?
In actual fact he probably has some idea of the shocking debt we are now in and no longer wishes to claw back our country into the black. A country gets the government it deserves and the people who voted Labor can now suffer the consequences in full knowledge that there will be no one to clean up after their lavish spending sprees.
@onemoreterm Though I am an Englishman(Pom)I think you are correct in what you say.I just wish he would come over to the UK to either sort out our mess or at least advise properly how to deal with it.
@onemoreterm Costello legacy will be remembered by collecting the mining boom revenues only to only splash it all on middle class welfare. So when you had the GFC you had lost revenues from taxation, handouts that the government couldn't roll back and some wasteful spending. Thats what gave us the debt. 33% Labor's fault, 33% Costello's fault, 33% GFC. When are all governments going to learn that handouts get you know where.

Costello for leader
Hockey as deputy

That would make the best team.
