  • it's another great, GREAT, piece of the musical mosaic, I don't ever get tired of listening to this great band, SIMPLEMENTE DE LO MEJOR,

  • What is the purpose of comparing the Beatles and the Bee Gees? Can't you just enjoy both of their music without having to determine if one is better than the other? In the end, it is just your opinion and no one really cares about your opinion except you.

  • Just enjoy GREAT VID.....Sounds like North and South korea

  • what...top 2nd to 5th greatest song writers in history.....who in the world can write number one country hits..American country, no less....then to have the biggest dance album of all times...then to be a huge English 60's group....The have wrote number ones for so many different people and genre's.....The Bee Gee's are one of the greatest groups an writers in history..flat out

  • @tomcat624u The Bee Gees have written over 900 songs halfwit!

  • The Bee Gees are the best! Didn't they seem happy?

  • you tell'em, George...

  • RE: The Beatles -vs-The BeeGees. Couldn't agree more, technically, with AbdinP51 about what he has to say about the brothers, Gibb. His facts are correct.. They did, individually and collectively, have a huge influence on Pop Music with a versatility that The Beatles never aspired to.. That isn't to say that John, Paul and company, were not good at what they did, as The Beatles, but

they were pretty much a one-trick pony, and imploded on themselves, they

    couldn't keep it together.

  • This song was played at my aunts funeral in January this year. She passed away New Years Eve at 5am

  • You were tapping your feet, admit it !

  • this is so much smoother than the Dolly Parton-Kenny Rogers version

  • this reminds me of my last lover wow long time ago

    GO THE BEEGEES

  • This song is a gift from God- or God's messengers the BeeGees :)))

  • Miss you Maurice

  • Thank God for the "Skip Ad" button!

  • I was a redneck, but still loved them. Which one died from a drug overdose? I can't remember.

  • @cellpals2

No one. They are not drug users.

Maurice - the one on the keyboard died of blocked intestine.

  • @comtransbg well actually their youngest brother Andy died from a drug overdose but yeah you're correct, none of the Bee Gee's are drug users

  • @cellpals2 None of them died of drug overdoses. Andy died of a heart issue called myocarditis that may have been aggravated by the drug use, but was not an OD.

  • R.I.P. Maurice, Bee Gees Forever!!!

  • i love these guys! So sad that maurice is gone!

  • Peace and good luck for the future, I hope things change in the best way possible for you and your family.

  • супер-супер!!!!!!

  • the beatles kind of sucked in my opinion. yellow submarine i wanna hold your hand all sucked compared to these dudes.

  • beautiful, I love them, they will never be too old. In the 90s i was a little girl but i remember them and today i listen to them like if the time never passed by.

  • dictionary..."harmony" = Bee Gees xoxo

  • Bee Gees are unic, there´s no other singer or band that sings as him.

  • @jana10ish Your comment fails on so many levels

  • @DrunkOnWoodys kkk!Can you tell me where it´s fails?

  • @jana10ish Bee Gees are UNIQUE,there´s no other singer or band that sings as GOOD AS THEM?

  • @AbdinP51 Well I would never compare them since I think there is no comparison. The influence of the Bee Gees on popular music leaves that of the Beatles in the dust. The Beatles were a great act as a group but Sir Paul has almost had as big an influence on his own and with Wings as what the Beatles ever did. None of the efforts of the other guys comes close however with the possible exception of George as a film producer.

  • @AbdinP51 Rolling Stone is just full of old hippies with opinions it is not based on facts! show me just two Beatles covers that have over 20 million views! the Beatles did covers on the first 5 Albums they made, the Bee Gees never had to resort to that, every song on every album was written by them. Show me the massive selling albums and singles the Beatles had at just 17, show me all the albums that the Beatles wrote and produced for other artists that sold millions! Bee Gees win easily.

  • @AbdinP51 My Uncle was a DJ during the 70s and he told me that all people ever asked for was Saturday Night Fever week in week out, dance clubs sprouted up all over the world, if you go to any club the chances are you will still hear the bass line to Staying Alive ebbing from the speakers. The Beatles timing was good and they are a fine band, they sold a lot more records than the Bee Gees, but the Bee Gees writing ability, harmony, and vision were beyond parity.

  • @AbdinP51 Yopu listen to me you vacuous simpleton, the Bee Gees were huge way before the "Disco" tag which was in fact r&b music, they had massive sales all over the world at 17! they have written every genre you can think of, rock, dance, country, reggae, folk, pop,r&b the Beatles could never come even close to that ability! Barry Gibb is the top singer, producer, writer of all time! The Bee Gees had the top five singles in Billboard in the 70s all written and produced by them, learn something!

  • @AbdinP51 Hey village idiot, I have every Beatles album ever made all of the sheet music (most of which I can play) I have been in a band for a few years and we do some covers of their songs. So my simple little sperm drop go and clean your ears out with a gun and keep smoking the mens shooters!

  • @GeorgiiiiRaWK so what

  • @Praventore So just keep taking it up the gonga and keep smoking mens hammers!

  • @AbdinP51 You are a complete idiot it is common knowlege that the Bee Gees outshone the Beatles, in fact John Lennon was in awe of Maurice Gibb because of his musical ability, he could play 9 instruments to an incredible standard too. Try not to be so parochial about other bands, yes the Beatles were brilliant, but that is not where music started and ended!

  • @AbdinP51 Your ignorance is matched only by your lack of musical knowledge, John Lennon and Maurice Gibb were great drinking friends, the roamed around London with Harry Nilson too, and it is true Lennon had massive respect for the Bee Gees and Maurice Gibb in particular. You remind me of the womens ailment "Thrush" an irritating little cunt!

  • @AbdinP51 Do you go into every single non-Beatles youtube video and post these facts?

  • Comment removed

  • @ruinawish nope and apparently I won't do it again, haha

  • Comment removed

  • @Orky210 agree im like their hugest fan been listening to them since i was 9

  • @AbdinP51 It is rather obvious to me that most people in this forum prefer the Bee Gees to the Beatles, now you may not like that or agree with some of their opinions, however you will not change them! after all it is just down to personal preference in the end. I much prefer the Bee Gees to the Beatles, always have always will, so why dont you just limp back to any Beatles forum of your choice and leave people that are here to enjoy the choice they have made.

  • For all the Bee Gees music lovers out there! A 1978 Vintage Synthesizer on eBay! View Item # 190537630635

  • what great song..

  • Love it! Who is playing guitar at 2:53????

  • I love the Bee Gees and enjoy its music. But I won't say The Bee Gees music is superior than the Beatles. Lets just say it is parallel to that of the Beatles. The Beatles was good with three artists who could compose music. Well Ringo is less talented than George, John, and Paul.

  • The best of the best

  • This is a fantastic song where Maurice sometimes is the owner of the stage. He to steal the show to your brothers.Wonderful group, but no biggest than the Beatles.

  • more people have recorded yesterday than all bee gees songs put together! the bee gees are good but the beatles they are not.

  • the musical director of the BG's was Maurice Gibb, he orchestrated the harmonies and rhythm, was a real genius, RIP Maurice

  • FIVE sad bastards.

  • absolutely the finest musicians and songwriters on the planet!

  • wuderschön

  • if you say there was more talent than the beatles , you are delusional , there was at best , an equal talent base among the two groups

  • @seasack1

agreed, the beegees are on par with the beatles - they are both legendary groups.

But one point i have is that Robin Gibb is without doubt one of the finest male vocalist of all time. His voice

has a haunting, emotional yet mesmerising sound to it.Listening to him sing is an amazing experience whether your a beegees fan or not.He can make the hairs on your neck stand.Pure class

  • It´s necessary to know all the discographic from the Beatles for give an opinion.I know your all musical work and they were song writers from ballads, rock and roll, country, etc. All types of music. The Beatles for all time.Although are fabulous, always.

  • Is a mistake to think than The Bee Gees are more talented than the Beatles. This person i dont know about the history from the Beatles because the brother Gibbs were inspirate by the Beatles.

  • @08121917 Really! That's odd since the young brothers Gibb were performing in public even before The Quarrymen, Stu Sutcliffe's first band that included John Lennon and Paul Mac. Dismissed.

  • @08121917 Uh that's not correct. I have never heard Barry say or write anything to that effect ever anywhere.

  • love Maurice's moves...miss him :'o(

  • Great!!!

  • Beautiful, so beautiful!

  • propper love the bee gees!

  • propper love the bee gees!

  • bee gees are well cool!

  • bee gees are well cool!!

  • bee gees the best ever be

  • More talent and more class. I love the live version. Barry and Maurice on lead.

  • Why anyone should prefer Bee Gees regarding Beatles and vice versa if both are fantastic? Enjoy both!

  • EU ADORO BEE GEES PRA MIM É UMA DAS MAIORES E MELHORES BANDA DO MUNDO....

  • Bee Gees the best Forever

  • No disrespect to Dolly or Kenny, but this original version by the Bee Gees is THE ONE! Their harmonies are unlike anything that music has/had ever heard!

  • @dmbfanindy Yes, but I can think of 2 reasons why the the Dolly/Kenny version is worth watching

  • Her massive hits?

  • @Baskerville22 but for the typo, spot on!

  • @dmbfanindy I said the same thing and now I'm bawling!

  • @PalaverTwist ditto. How awesome!

  • @dmbfanindy i concur, though dolly-kenny version has great music background

  • Love this song!! I love their version much better than Kenny & Dolly's....Love & miss you, Mo...

  • Of course !

  • HOLY . . luv it

  • Bee Gees, alongside bands like Roxette, ABBA and The Beatles (perhaps a few more), is among the very few bands in this world. That actually were able to produce numerous of amazing songs. Very few bands in the history of the human being has written more than one or two songs that really were GREAT.

I know that ''bands'' is not the most precise term to use, but i guess you know what I mean :)

  • As much as I love Kenny and Dolly's version....and I do LOVE it.....there's just something about the Bee Gees singing it that gets me every time I listen to it.

  • The Bee Gees did write this song. I think that The Beatles were the ultimate group. However, the Bee Gees were very much in the same company as The Beatles in that both groups have some of THE BEST talent when it comes to harmony, ever. Just listen to them and appreciate them.

  • According to Wikipedia, the Brothers Gibbs wrote this song for Marvin Gaye with a r&b feel. Kenny gave it country feel. even with Kenny there's an underlying r&b feel to it.

  • bobsixfor what are you on about better than the beatles if it wasnt for the beatles there probably wouldnt be any bee gee,s in a nutshell your talking rubbish they didnt even write this song you idiot hahaha what a amateur music listner you are

  • @mckaos666 You know all about this song -Who wrote it

  • @mckaos666 The BEE GEES did compose this song

  • This is one of those songs I can love no matter who is singing it. :D It makes me happy.

  • Dolly and Kenny take this song to a differnt level, i turn speakers up on full when they sing it

  • i love this song with my heart, very pretty, one of the best out there,

  • Check this song by Grupo Wer - Brazilian tribute band.

  • Love it!!!

  • I saw the Bee Gees In Birmingham,Al in 1972, It was the greatest concert I ever went to. I will never forget how great they were and I was only 14. Now I have grandkids that age. Still loving them.. Rest in Peace Maurice I still love you..

  • Diana Ross rejected this song ...sad Ms Diva

  • @supremes1964 Well I'm glad she rejected it. She could never sing it as well as Dolly and Kenny

  • @zapkvr I agree.....Ross being the Diva she is....rejected this song! In 1985, she decided to take them on with :Eaten Alive" (sighs) and "Chain Reaction"....too late.

karma? the same the Marvalettes rejected "Where Did Our Love Go" in 1964 ......Ross did the same with this song. Career killers!

  • AMAZING COVER/DEMO? ....whatever you call it! YET THEY WROTE IT!

    LOVE IT!

  • Good times !!!! I loved it !!!

  • Uh-oh, seems like sentiment is getting in the way. The BG's were and still are great songwriters. I'm in my 60's, and have be into music since the 50's, and there are plenty of great songwriters out there- but really, how many beatles albums have you heard?? The Beatles wrote songs for everyone not only for themselves. The BG's are good but the Beatles were better. I'm old, but I still listen to everything - Rock, country, world, house, ska, rap...

  • @TheJaytnt Oh yeah the Beatles wrote plenty of songs for other artists but none were as diverse a group as those the Bee Gees wrote for. Compare Dione to Barbra to Dolly. The Beatles don't come close. Sorry mate, that's just the way it is.

  • @zapkvr

I have to agree on this one. Bee Gees are the best.

  • for you martin. love mummy xx

  • Far more raw talent than the Beatles ever had, the Bee Gees are beyond parity.

  • Amazing!!They wrote great songs OMG!!I'm reminising my youth.

  • I like Elvis, Beatles and all oldies.. BUT only Bee Gees makes me obsessed. I collect their bootlegs and buy all their records. I dont do it with any other artists.

  • they are the best..ive been listning to them since the 60s never tire listning to them

  • i like the bee gees as many other music but do not tell that they are better because taste is a very personal choice

  • very nice song Bee Gees
