  • how did it die?

  • 'At world's end' eliminated the atmosphere and the threat of Davy Jones I hink. Davy Jones was more like a slave of Beckett and not this heavy creature of the second movie. I liked the second movie because of Davy Jones and the Kraken, they were pretty awesome. Also this dark atmosphere when the Flying Dutchman appeared from under the sea for example.

It's such a pitty what they've done to the legend of Davy Jones in the Third Movie. All in all the movie was good though but this was a mistake

  • This scene is just so symbolic, it's awesome.

  • I love this scene. It shows Jack and Barbossa talking about the end of their world. They know they face elimination but it also seemed like they wanted the world back to the way it was, I also loved in this scene they were more of comrades. Not enemies, not friends, but just two pirates.

I can not explain how much this scene touches me.

  • I feel kind off sad that Kraken is dead

  • @wonderboy7423

Yeah im sure o.o I even showed my sister, mom and friend & they said they dont remember this part, yet we've seen all the movies.lmao o.O

    But, oh ?

  • he misses he hat :P that's why he is morning :P

  • Wtf! What movie was this in?! I've seen all the movies , even the new one and have never seen this part

  • @SpongeTowel at worlds end, you sure you seen em all lol

  • nooOOooOoOoooo!! I loveded you krakken!! I loveded youuU!! Dx

  • I like how in this scene, Jack and Barbossa act more like friends than enemies, giving advice to one another.

  • @eyp0704 At least their honest with each other.

  • I luv this scene 4 sum reason, even tho jack is realizing he will probably die...

  • they truly wasted a good monster here. the kraken should have been used for the final battle in part 3 as well. seriously nothing gets more epic than a kraken. that's why part 4 didn't seem all to exciting. the mermaids were cool and all, but you can't go from having a giant sea monster with davey jones in one movie and than two sequels later have jack fight average black beard.

  • Guys Beckett ordered Davy Jones to kill the Kraken because he knew Jones could use it to defeat the British Armada.

  • Thats what every person do, when they see a dead creature.... Poke it with a stick :D

  • @georgek19 I thought it was cutler beckett's idea to drag it on shore and let it dry out and die... sushicheese1 was probably wrong tho.

  • 'You stupid fish!'

    'Actually, it's a cephalopod.'

You know, it took me a while to figure out that the Kraken was executed by Davy Jones and that it wasn't, in fact, Jack Sparrow stabbing it in the throat when he died that killed it.

  • The Kraken disliked this video.

  • Geoffrey Rush is just great

  • This is my fav scene in AWE. Everything about is so beautiful. "The world's still the same. There's just... less in it." That's exactly how I feel about the world....

Oh, and watching Johnny and Geoffrey act together is just fabulous. I love it when Jack and Hector are being all serious and mature for once, instead of arguing like a divorced couple (which I love too).

  • Why I like this scene is because it's one of the rare where Jack is seen serious and little sad.

  • How did it die?

  • @odischeese21 The only guesses I have are that:

    1. The sword Jack stab into it as it ate caused it to bleed internally to death. (Odds this is right: 15%)

    2. It washed/dried up on shore. (Odds this is right: 55%)

    3. It got too old. (Odds this is right: 50%)

    4. Disney was just trolling us and they decided "Killed your Krakken mysteriously. U mad bro?" (Odds this is right: 95%)

  • @ZeroZX999 @ZeroZX999 clearly you are a moron or just some little kid. Or maybe even both. Clearly you were not paying attention in the movie when Cutler Becket reminded Davy Jones that he ordered the Kraken to drag itself ashore thus killing it? Becket had Davy's heart and forced him to kill the Kraken. And no, no disney was not "trolling" the audience. You're and idiot. (Odds this is right: 100%)

  • @1sushicheese1 A little kid? A moron?

No no sir...I am neither. I'm sorry I never remembered a movie I saw 3 years ago word for word, scene for scene. Just because I forget things, however, does not make me a moronic kid. I'm sorry you're so foolish as to believe things like that even though it makes little to no sense. Also, I suggest you don't make bad typos when calling others morons. And now I must take my leave, because I do not talk to trolls. Good day to you sir.

    *DO NOT FEED THE TROLL*

  • @ZeroZX999 good I will not feed you and don't make anymore foolish posts. U mAd Br0?

  • @1sushicheese1 I'm not mad, I'm not trolling. Sorry you're so mad sir.

Now I am going to go back to that life I have. (By the way, something you trolls need to work on is timing. When you reply almost immediately to a post, like you did mine, it only shows you were just waiting for them.)

  • @ZeroZX999 Sorry But I do think you are mad. And no I was not waiting for your response. I simply wanted to state you're an idiot. I replied fast because I check my gmail. NOt wating for your inconsiderate responces. What makes you think I was trolling you in the beggining good sir? I stated that you are wrong and that your percentages were very stupid. So next time before you post, please use your head. I see you have a very good life indeed and spend your time wisely judging from the your vid

  • Comment removed

  • @ZeroZX999 And sorry, your inconsiderate responses will now be ignored and not even read :)

  • @1sushicheese1 Inconsiderate?...That isn't even the right word to use, but whatever, I actually have a question regarding the movie, that is if you're willing to answer it. You said it was told to wash up on shore, right?...Why did Davy Jones do that exactly? I mean, did the movie give it a reason why? Cuz...it doesn't seem like the best idea.

  • @ZeroZX999 thats 215%

  • @ZeroZX999

I think that Jones may have just ordered it to put itself ashore, causing it to die. So, it didn't die quickly.

  • @pinheadman665 Any chance you might WHY he told the Kraken to do that? Cuz it seems a tad counter-productive, killing a monster like that, under your control.

  • @ZeroZX999

Because Beckett ordered him to, or else he'd get his men to stab the heart. Beckett was afraid that Jones might use the Kraken against the Royal Navy.

  • @pinheadman665 Ah, thank you so much for answering my question. :D

  • i was so waiting that Kraken was in the third movie but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! it's have to be dead WHY!!!!!!!!!!

  • pleace write the text that they speak

  • I felt sad when I saw the dead kraken D:

  • The kraken here was a good metaphor.

  • The Kraken died b/c the head guy from the "EIC" forced Davy Jones to kill the Kraken. I took it that Davy Jones ordered the creature to beach itself. (only my opinion)

  • at least they should show us how it died

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah they rly should!

  • @bloodym0nster Becket ordered Davy Jones to kill it

  • @furion111111 yeah I know that, im just curious how it died

  • i dont no wat do dis video mean

  • stupid fish! :)

  • an octopus have 1 eye

  • What if the Kraken was actually sleeping and then it woke up when he said

    "stupid fish"?

  • Why i don remember this part??? O-o where was this scene taken, wich episode?

  • @DantesMuayThai movie 3, right be4 sao feng returns

  • Krakens eyes are comparatively small compared to the rest of it's body, and it only has two of them.

  • More blood on the hands of globalization, SEA MONSTERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!

  • Comment removed

  • I love this scene. The serious tone of it and how the dead Kraken represents mortality in such a fantastic yet realistic way.

  • That's the most serious thing Jack have ever said :') He shows his feelings... I'm proud of you Jack :'D

  • There is one place,we have discovered yet,its called the bermuda-triangle:sure hope theres a new world out there :)!

  • love this scene... mind you if i was jack i would be on the other side of the island going, im not going near that thing! it eat me!

  • I not so sure Jack is mourning the Kraken, but what rather what the Kraken represents - his/the pirates dying way of life. The dead Kraken on the beach is a sign of the time, and that times are indeed changing. Jack concludes by saying the world is the same but less in it. Ultimately saying in simplest form that the world is now short a Kraken, and thus has less in it. In larger form that with the Kraken's death the world is not as interesting as it used to be.

  • @PaxAmericana24 your almost right. Jack indeed doesn't mourn about the kraken but he sees that the last of it's kind is beeing slaughted and know's that this will happen to him too if he runs

  • @PaxAmericana24 I think it's more that the east india company controlled davy jones, so they should have been able to control the kraken, but they had it killed anyway, meaning they didn't need it. kind of shows how big the enemy is if they threw away such a beast.

  • "World is still the same... Just less in it" Greatest quote EVER!

  • does the kraken fear death?

  • Beckett orderd to kill it... nobody knows exactly how 0.o

  • @93angelgirl Its presumed Jones ordered the Kraken to beach itself and it died like that.

  • how he got killed?

  • How did The Kraken die?

  • Kraken is a fish not a family of squid it is a fish

  • @MrMegalodon1000 no it is not

  • "you stupid fish!!"

    "actually its a cethropod" lol

  • People say that pets resemble their masters, and I believe that has some truth in it.

  • Nobody expects the British East-Indian trading company, not even Kraken!

  • poor kraken, i feel really sad for him ;(

  • @roy99669

Even the great Jack Sparrow himself feels sadness and in his own way actually mourns the poor Kraken.

  • @roy99669 lol maybe he died because he god too old!

  • @roy99669 Captain Jack Sparrow was a too spicy meatball even for him! :D

  • @Sporademus465 jack didnt kill the kraken. cutler becket commanded davy to kill it. you dont see it in the movies but its on the pirates of the caribbean wiki page.

  • @roy99669 Ya i know it was a joke. :)

  • is this from a movie

  • "Actually, its a cephalopod."

  • A years supply of calamari gone to waste.

  • Pintel and ragetti are the best kraken slayers eva <3

  • OH NOES!

Davy's beloved sea puppy is DEAD.

    *mourns its death*

  • im still confused why did jack look so upset over its death the bloody beast ate him

  • @file374 because while it is a monster, it is something that has now died out from the world. You wont see its like ever again, thats why.

  • " You stupid fish!" " actully it's a ceplopod." 00:39 Lol!

  • Look closely into its eye. It's almost asking Davy: "...Why?"

  • you stoopid beast!

    Actually, i's a cephalapod.

  • Nooooo! not beastie D:

  • Who else was like, SON OF A BITCH when you saw it dead...I wanted an other attack...

  • So davy jones Killed it didn't he? Because I remember that little fagget british guy told davy jones something about killing his pet.

  • 0:28 a global warming got him D:

  • the kraken made an account so it could dislike this video :-D

  • Why don't I remember this part? I saw At World's End yesterday...

  • I love how Barbossa can speech!

I he lived in this age, he could be president ore something like that with those speeches!

  • potc 5- jack sparrow revives the kraken and is now jacks pet hehe

  • Did anyone else feel a tinge of sadness at the krakens death? :(....

  • World of warcraft after burningcrusade 1:44

  • "the world's still the same. It's just...Less in it."

  • Ragetti & Pintel: KRAKEN SLAYERS

  • That legendary beast of the ocean, now nothing more than seagull food :(

  • is this the same one that sank the pearl?

  • @luigi1456 I thought jack killed it when he was eaten

  • FRIED CALAMARI ON ME!

  • "You stupid fish!"

    "Actually, it's a cephalopod."

  • he would make good sushi

  • That damn thing finally got killed.

  • I love this scene between Jack and Barbossa. It shows that they do actually have some form of relationship, and jack spoke so solomly... I wish we saw a bit more of that, even though Jacks funny as normal.

  • poor kraken.

  • what would happen if you shot davy jones heart?

  • how did the kraken die still dont get it !

  • @wendysexybeach

cos beckett ordered davy jones to kill it

  • I was hoping the Kraken would diw in a blaze of Glory not this bullshit.

  • This Kraken was awesome, a lot better than that crap Clash of the Titans one

  • its corpse will stay for a looooooooong time!!!We can see it another time!!!

  • @Daviddjx44 thanks!

  • i saw lost on stranger tides yesterday and no kraken

  • @Multifan91 Well....it "is" dead you know.

  • Jack and Barbossa's little "moment"... I love this scene. Very beautiful. Jack looks so... Sad. Those big, dark eyes really makes you feel how the world IS really chaging... And from that angle, Barbossa's hat kinda looks like a beach hat! :D

  • I didn't watch the movie so who's the pirate with the black hat?

  • @Awesomedude12335 Barbossa

  • Is it just me or was kraken bigger in dead mans chest?

  • Isint this from strangers tide?

  • @PCRedphantomclanGAME No this is "at worlds end". oh and btw, Its "on stranger tides"

  • A great scene this one, especially the dialogue between Jack and Barbossa.

  • Davy Jones:Summon the Kraken!

    *Nothing happens*

    Davy Jones:Don't summon the Kraken!

  • haha at 0.35 he follows the rule you should always do when you see a dead creature poke at it with a stick Xp

  • the song during when jack and barbossa are talking is interesting, since that was the track that played when the crew were mourning jack's death to the kraken in tia dalma's hut from the 2nd movie, and now its playing after the kraken's death while jack and barbossa are in a way "mourning" its death as well...

  • has it ever crossed ur mind how the hell did he kill that thing?!

  • @sumariroll As ruler of the sea, Davy Jones ordered the Kraken to beach itself, thus killing it :/

  • @iamnotaterroristtall some thing davy jones placed a black spot on someone (possibly a crew member)

and managed to get the kraken to attack him on the beach and causing it to die without the ocean.

Davy jones Is'nt harry potter he did'nt just say "BeachKrakio" and the kraken beached itself.

  • 0:55, Jack looks sad like he really misses the Kraken even though it ate him once... He sure loves nature. I feel the same as him.

  • i looks like jack as a bond with the kraken

  • the kraken is basiclly a huge squid

  • Lord beckett is my Favourite Charcter But damn kill the kraken!!??? how about use Davy to use the Kraken to sink the french spansih and all other Navys so England became the Ultimate SuperPOWA

  • @jasincl

Beckett was worried that Jones might order the Kraken against the Royal Navy, so he ordered Jones to kill it.

  • the kraken was the last off it's kind, it lived in a world that had change dramatically, it was completely alone, there where no krakens so it was only a matter of time before it died, so it's species became extinct, there are legends that the kraken was a real animal that would sink ships in the Atlantic, there where lots of attacks but around the 19th century the attacks just stopped which might have meant that the creature went extinct

  • thats a gigantic squid that is.........

  • daaaamn!! the kraken is dead! stupid beckett!!!!

they even not showed hole kraken only the tentackels and a little bit of the body

  • "The world used to be a bigger place". Right on the mark.. All lands are long discovered, there is no mystery anymore.. :(

  • @Mueiwark I wouldn't say that, yeah we've seen most of the land, but what's left underwater and other hidden underground caves will never be discovered. Especially the legend of the sunken City or something I think. I heard somewhere or read about a City which was taken underwater and no one knows where it is. Now that's a mystery yet to be discovered me thinks ;)

  • @ADMediaEmpire Atlantis?

  • @xxfiloxx Yeah I think Atlantis is a city which sunk into the ocean but no one can find it because no one ever survived when it went under or something like that. God knows but it could be somewhere out there. It was supposed to be the City of Gold or something :S I'm not good with facts

  • @ADMediaEmpire El Dorado was the City of Gold. Alantis was the lost empire.

  • @Mueiwark Well if you think about the depths of the ocean, only 5 percent have been explored. :D Check out the bloop on youtube

  • @Mueiwark

You're absolutely right, friend, I'm not sure if I should thumbs up or thumbs down your comment. :(

  • @Mueiwark There is: space.

Btw I feel seriously sad because I'll be dead for the beginning of the exploration (out of the solar system).

  • @Cap10Aerobatics I know the feeling, especially now NASA basically has no real goal anymore. Well, to Mars in 2026, but I seriously doubt that if we keep shitting around about 'budget this, and be worth it financially that'. Add to that political polarization (deadlock situation), increasing cost of resources etc. The Hubble follow-up is in danger of being scrapped, and we have no successor to the ISS... ffs ppl!

Screw that shit, space exploration is worth every goddamn penny, and more..

  • @Mueiwark the mystery is life and how you discover it not how u discover a piece of land aye tiz a good thing but the challenge is life not discovery

  • @Mueiwark that my friend is a very huge understatement i have dedicated my young life to the exploration of the world and the text books don't have half of the foods, creatures, places, smells, and tales of the men and women i have come across.

  • @jhormanmoreira Perhaps he means that there's nothing to believe in when it comes to creatures and such. While you're right about the tales and such, in terms of mythical beasties, we, there really isn't much left. Back then, people believed in the devil and all sorts of monsters, but nowadays we know there is no such thing.

He said it himself, there isn't much mystery anymore.

  • @lipnoodle117 this is my point regardless of what u might hear or see in tv is nothing to what really is out there. a 1500 pound bear with a head almost 1 meter wide was shot and killed. a12meter shark was killed of the coast of Australia... and the king lion that was found in africa over 80 years ago was almost 6 meters long and fangs over 14 inches!!! no such things! my friend!!! =D

  • @jhormanmoreira and i forgot about the 15 meter croc found in the acongo!!!

  • @Mueiwark i disagree. though yes there used to be more to discover out there its not all gone. for instance

Megalodon bigfoot the jersey devil, all those things. there have been many discoveries out there but there are even more to be found, who knows maybe there's even more islands to discover. dont give up on exploration, just look harder

  • @Mueiwark Right. But take heart, for there are countless other worlds that we have yet to lay eyes upon, even in our minds. The days of exploration are just beginning, my acquaintance...

  • @dirtbikegrl1 Captain Hector Barbossa

  • I'de laugh so hard if it came alive and ate them all. But then I wold be sad because it will continue to suffer for the rest of it's life )-:

  • I wonder if you look in it's mouth and find Jacks body.... if possible....

  • Poor Kraken! Those eyes of his looks so sad! Seems like they were saying: "Why?"

    Poor thing, didn't deserve to die. It was like any other animal... it attacks if it feels like someone/something is thretning it, or makes it attack, doesn't mean it wants to attack anyone. At least I hope it happened fast so that the Kraken didn't suffer, though. {:o{

  • @VampireZombieX Lets make it like this: Davy Jones tricked te Kraken to a beach, the same as if your mother tricked you under water. the Kraken pained it self, because of the order of Davy. Like if you mother told you to go under water, and kill something that werent there. The Kraken suffered, just as you would have suffered. Poor Kraken, I agree.

  • @VampireZombieX

Sorry to break it, but given that the most likely scenario was that Jones ordered it to put itself ashore, I don't think it died quickly. :(

  • :-(

    God bless.

  • I love the conversation between Jack and Barbossa in this scene. It makes Barbossa sound very wise.

  • Jack shoulda said " 'ello again beastie"

  • "YOU STUPID FISH"

  • People keep saying jack killed it, actualy if you watch the movie becket says to davy jones "when I order you to kill your pet" so Davy jones gave the pirate the black spot and put him on the island so when the kraken try to claim the body it would die on the beach.

  • the kraken died because devy jones put a black spot on the body of a dead pirate and left the body on the island and the kraken drowned in the air trying to take the body

  • kraken should have had on screen death, maybe getting hunted by Norington in a British Man-o-war.

  • @TheAdmirableAdmiral

Yeah... I've always wondered how the Kraken died. Hope it wasn't painful.

  • Wow, huge dead squid..man that would smell SO bad.
