libraries should be protected and in many cases in growing city expanded instead of neglected as the population grows. If you want a strong middle class, libraries is a necessity for each generation.

Can hear the announcer up to :20. Can't hear the speakers after that. Then at 4:07 I can hear the announcer again. In between I can only hear the [annoying] musical overlay. I see their lips moving and can hear just the faintest scratchy dialog that sounds like a radio station whose wattage isn't strong enough to reach my location. This happens to me a lot on YouTube. Only on YouTube.

I believe in libraries and supporting them on the basis that there is a affordability to get new books whether it is locally or from the federal government. With a huge cut in the rest of the bloated federal government support to libraries will be pennies on the trillions our government spends.

@shiffty1032231 If you are correct that less debt financing for libraries results in trimmed budgets, perhaps that negative will be offset by the advancement of intellectual freedom, opening the collections to alternative viewpoints, perhaps less spying on use of library computer users, etc. It is seldom noticed that federal funds always have strings and controls attached, and over time the libraries, universities, and schools have become propaganda arms of

Big Government and Empire views.

Wouldn't this have been a lot better if it wasn't funded by the NEH? Couldn't private individuals have gotten together and bought these books? Isn't there an irony in this - a federal grant to support a bookshelf on liberty?

You know, Dr. Paul may not have the greatest charisma, but his sharp mind and intelligence allows him to make a public appearance like this and speak off the cuff!

@terr547 it's true but i do think he's much much more charismatic than people give him credit for. real charisma comes from passionately putting out one's own ideas and philosophies as opposed to parroting something you're expected to say. i think he's got that in spades.

I love libraries of all types. I could spend hours reading and moving aisle to aisle.

This is a great event, people need to understand what's is happening with this country..We have to end the FED..these people are insane.
