  • thumbs up if youre watching this in 2011... i remember when everyone was going crazy about this cooler :')

  • can i have a dildo?

  • Only thing i dont like, is the copper tubes.... Laptops use these as a cooler, but i think having the heatsink and fan seperate from the core isnt a good idea... My opinion. :D

  • @ccraig412 Those are called heatpipes, theres nothing wrong with that really.. it has a lighter than air substance within the pipes and they carry the heat to the heatsink fans, and condense once again!

  • It works with socket AM3 ?????

  • yes ^^, AM2 - AM 3 Same CPU Cooler

  • I should have bought this rather than damn 3d rocket pro cooler...

  • is this better than the zalman 9700?

  • @kidowner NO! lol I used this on my Pentium D it's alright but not much better then stock : \

  • Thanks for sharing, Rick.

  • check the Big Typhoon VP.. its the upgrade of this

  • Does it come with a manual that explains how to attatch it?

  • Yes believe it did and if you cant figure it out just look on there site or google it. It is very easy I am sure you can figure it out or just message me I will help ya out.

  • Yeah I got this about 6 months ago (20$ at radio shack lol), I bought it to give a friend the stock cooler. I was wondering what is your experience with e6300's? I got it to 3.4GHZ with around 1.45 volts, but its too hot even on this heatsink. I am using the ceramic paste that came with it. it idled around 50C on the die and 65C core temps. Maybe I need a new cpu, but the stock clock was 1.86GHZ. I can't get a stable overclock yet, I have a p5n-e sli.

  • did this come with screws or push pins

  • Its a bolt through design better then push pins by a mile.

  • definetly

  • they actually have a new push pin version of this

the one on my channel is this version though.

have you noticed that the nuts holding in the h-clip on the cooler aren't able to tighten as much as you'd like?

  • If you are speaking of the nuts for the top h plate mine came with large thumb screw type nuts it was very easy to attach. Only downside is they don't have a spring or stop you can keep tightening then until you break something.

  • check out my vid; they're tiny for me.

then again I bought it used, but seller said it was all original hardware... whatever.

  • What do you think about it together to Sempron or Athlon?

  • Great cooler for almost any CPU although for the price, I suggest getting a Xigmatek S1283 cooler far better IMO.

  • I've had mine in my closet for about 2-3 years because my old case didn't have enough room and I decided not to overclock. I'm using it on my new PC but mine did not come with any screws, brackets, etc. Not to mention, the socket. It has a 3pin connection while my ASUS mobo has a 4pin cpu fan socket. Will I be able to plug it in anyway like the way you normally can on some PC parts? Is there an alternate socket or is my fan another ebay item / paperweight?

  • Your fan is fine just connect it to 3 or 4 pin and it will run but wont be able to control the speed thats what the last 4th pin is for.

  • I bought one of them when they first came out back in 2005 i think. Its a great cooler loved it.

  • did you notice a lower temps

  • Thanks for the Video. It seems we unfortunately we blew the motherboard and chip on installation, it could have been none related ? but I now need a new Cushion and insultor to re install it . I tried the Thermaltake web site but it seems as though I can't contact them through theier site for some reason . I'm in the Uk . Do you have any idea where I can buy the replacement insulator and cushion , the original one is stuck to the blown motherboard. Thanks.

  • Really good review but... GET A TRIPOD!111

  • is pipe heat sink better then a normal heat sink cuz i dont get it

  • Yes heatpipes take heat away far better then comparable solid copper coolers even though heatpipe coolers can be large but far superior to just copper or alum.

  • WOW I did this soooooo long ago things I have learned its cool to look back on these old clips a think how it all started.

Check out my channel and see how well I am doing in Youtube land now.

  • my fan/heatsink wasn't enough to cool ym q6600 when i biult my computer i am thinking about geting this one do u think i will be able to keep it cool? how cool do u think it would keep it

  • With a Q6600 or any quad go for something larger like a ULTRA120 or Xigmatek S1283 far better ability to cool.

  • whats a good cooler for a medium sized case i got the q6600

  • It looks like a nice CPU cooler. It would be better if those fins were copper instead of aluminum. I have the GeminII from CoolerMaster and it cools amazingly well. It is bigger and heavier than that Typhoon, but the GeminII also cools just about everything inside the case. The thing I like about this cooler over the GeminII is that this cooler will allow you to actually get to the memory with not much effort. The GeminII takes alot more effort depending on the size of the RAM modules.

  • You do not have to remove the backing. Mine has it on and it is just fine I can remove and sell it if I wanted to without problem

  • Too big for my tastes. I'm looking at the ZeroTherm BTF90.

Or the ThermalTake V1, because it looks cool.

  • Is the ultra 120-extreme better?

  • Yes

  • Love it . Thanks I see you like the same thins that I do . What kin of plug does it have. Is it a smart fan. Can my motherboard GA-P35DS3L control the speed and stop it if the heatsink is cold .? My stock one stops the fan and starts it when it needs tooo.

  • Has a 3-pin for the mobo connector and speeds are from 7-13v can not turn it off its quiet even at full speed.

  • was it hard to install that heatsink?? imean..if i'm a first timer..will it be hard for me to install it??

  • read directions and it will take some time. Try to find the older version it has better mounting hardware and the new one has better fan and intel push-pins for attachment.

  • Thats a monster lol hope it treats ya well!!!

Im getting a e2180 hoping to clock it at 3ghz, using Arctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P.

  • Why did you go with a Thermalright Ultra-120? Around the same price, just requires an extra 120mm fan, but the cooling performance would increase a lot.

  • Not too bad, but id get a better camera and the audio is horrible. Good first review

  • Thanks a lot I thought there were going to be a bunch of bashers on the first couple posts. Getting a better digital camera as well as a webcam after holidays. Got a TT 80/120 mm fan review coming soon.
