every timem i hear a new cure song i expect it to not shock me as much as the last one....i guess im starting to get used to the fact that theyr all just as beatiful as the last. :)
@stevobath Ow no stevobath...there´s very little or nothing at all in common amongst them. Listen to more of cure, mainly older cure. In fact this song´s arrangement sounds very diferent from the usual cure´s ones.
@LadyBright777 Ive been a Cure fan since 1979.I have an extensive Cure library, so I dont need to be informed of their 'early stuff'.If you cant hear the obvious similarities between THIS song & Duran Duran then not meaning to be rude, but you must be deaf.....Im not suggesting Robert Smith sounds like Le Bon or Cure in general sound anything like Duran Duran, just this song. The Cure & Smiths voice are unique. Its odd to hear them sounding like anyone. This melody does.Fact.
this song reminds me of what it would be like to be in a bubble isolated and cold by yourself floating powerless against the waves and currents en route into the depths of a deep green sea enjoying this haunting tune and enjoying the beautiful iridescent underwater scenes into ever darkening shades of black and cold...the realization of a one way trip made sweet by the Cure.

@showtime0824 The most recognizable voice of the 80s???????????????????? You obviously have this afterthought confused with Michael Jackson or Bono. Or Cyndi Lauper for that matter.
@BiBo24 maybe showtime0824 talks about GREAT ARTISTS, not about some guys who go on showing themselves just to get people to pay attention on them (bono is great as well)
@Cure0 Robert Smith may be a great "artist"- however, showtime0824 said he was "The most recognizable voice of the 80's". To 99% of the music listeners in the 80's, it's simply not true.
Oh how I love this song!! It is just purely brilliant and so mesmerizingly beautiful!! The Cure are truly a phenomenal band!! Robert is so amazing in every aspect!! Magnificent!! ILY Robert! The Cure forever my friends!! ☺♥♪
i read somewhere in an interview with robert smith that he enjoyed the b side collections of many of the bands he likes sometimes more than the album. so when he make the b sides he wants to make them almost better the whats on the album. theres a b sides thats amazing i could listen to the whole collections burn from the corw soundtrack is another one i think is only released on the crow soundtrack.
i faintly remember listening to lullaby, this, boys don't cry & killing an arab + some others when i was about 9 years old. I'm really glad i got to know the cure a little better since i'm 17 now :]
I heard those too when I was 10 from my brother then I started listening to them again 2 years ago I went and search the cure on youtube :P the record labels are wrong youtube is helping them
@Elixirstring Me too! Just finished watching season 8 and 9! I wish they'd bring it back! But man I love this song! The Cure just rocks pure and simple! :-)

This reminds me of 'Come Undone' By Duran Duran. I think it might be the time signature and formulation of the song that makes it that way?

so, the song was only included on the x-files album

by this, the album's subtitle is called
