This performance is not Trifonov at his best. I think his best is represented by his superb playing of the Chopin Etudes Op. 25 at the Rubinstein Competition. I think it's the first clip on page 1.

This is not Trifonov at his best. I think his best is represented by his superb performance of the Chopin Etudes Op. 25, which I think is the first clip on page 1. Also, his playing of the Scarlatti, Haydn, Prokofiev and Scriabin sonatas is quite remarkable. As one critic in London wrote, his potential is boundless.
