I'd like to have shown how weird Holmes is with his clients taking on their cases on cocaine (the footage is unfortunaley missing). Lots and lots of bizarre moments as Watson need to apologize for Holmes's absurd behavior. Those moments didn't make it to the books and movies though.

Precisely, I mean he's been putting up with lots of this behavior from Holmes through the years, you can tell. Whenever they try to solve a case Holmes casually snaps and starts acting like an absurd child, completely opposite of his overclass character and Watson have to sort it out and excuse him to everyone. I just wished I could show more examples of Holmes eccentricities though... like being totally unable to take his mission seriously

What I loved the most about this version of Holmes [as play outstandingly by JB] is that its not only true 2 the books but also Holmes is real. We all [at some point] have r deamons to fight and some can be drwan to extrem messures in order to fight them. In Holmes case cocaine. His one true weakness

The funniest bit was that he actually did this sober.

Watson was just asking whether or not he had been doing cocaine because he had no cases, but then Holmes whipped out this paper and was like, "This is totally better than cocaine!"

Too bad they cut it from the movie...it would have fit nicely with the little scene of him resisting cocaine later when he's stressed. Plus, it's nice that Watson has such a non-judgemental attitude. Yeah he's not /thrilled/ his friend is still taking drugs, but he has such a good-humored way about him in the manner he covers his face with his hands. "Oh Holmes, you may never cease your absurdities, and you are deuced embarassing at times, but that will never affect our friendship."

That's really true and it describes their relation perfectly but I hope you're aware this was a video spoof! Nevertheless, the way Watson covers his face is probably very likely how he would react in a real acting version... if Holmes did that. Apart from displaying the chemistry between them like you said, it's suppose to be an example of how an eccentric genius can return to childhood due to overdose!
