  • The Racquet Club was mostly torn down- all the bungalows and grounds. All that's left is The Bamboo Room (the restaurant/bar ) and the pool. A development company bought it and began building condos, but they went broke. So now it's just fenced up and falling apart. Sad. Like most of Palm Springs, it's faded fast. Palm Springs is now like little Tijuana- billboards in Spanish, crime rampant, abandoned foreclosed houses. No charm left.

  • Hi love this video...pity there isnt more of it and better footage. I visited the old racquet club in March 1993...wanted to go back and stay but its apartments now. kinda sad about that.

  • Daryn & Darby...what a "swell" video!...

    We spent many great days at the Racquet Club, Even though we missed the earlier Golden Days it was still the hotspot when Buddy Rogers, Esther Williams, Ann Miller,Texas oilmen Gordon Guiberson & his brother, Merv Griffin & other tennisers hung out there.
