They are popular in canada and north america on commuter routes between Oregon and British Columbia, Jazz use them and air alaska too I believe theres one or two more carriers out that way
The aircraft was due into PLH a few days before but went tech in Prestwick - needed spares from Canada. It came into PLH for a fuel top-up before flying direct to Faro, Portugal.
Very good video m8, well-done, rite place at the rite time, thats the one reason I go airport to see a DH-7:) but mist it:( but cheers for posting a grate video m8.

It's an Air Southwest Dash 8, one of the local airline's 5 DHC8-300s.

@m1750bt nope its a 7. the 8's only have two engines.
justin5586 5 months ago
@justin5586 Yes hence the title "Dash 7-102". The aircraft in the foreground is the 7 but behind is a Dash 8-311 of the now defunct Air Southwest.

Actually Jazz uses Dash 8's not 7's. Also they are not very popular in Canada. I only know of 3 operators that use Dash 7's

@tribalheadz Jazz ( if its AirCanada Jazz ) uses the Dash-8 100
