On the other hand sinice all of Sonic bodyparts are fast he might be able to live longer but not sure about Tails. Yeah, this was waaaaay before Sonic X and waaaay before SA, SA2/SA2B, Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Riders... back when the main console for Sonic games was the Sega Genesis...no other bad guys like Shadow, the Meterex, or Chaos will be appearing in this. Therefore...if Robotnik and Scratch and Grounder aren't in any of these episodes...there will be no adventure....Sonic will sit on his butt and nap all day, in which case there would be no point in watching.
