I think the reason is, because they carry out investigations to identify the reasons behind it, then work on a solution, repare the fleet and send it on its way. Why did this not happen with concorde. I dont belive that an individual carrier such as Air France should be blamed for the incident, after all they did not design and built the aircraft, they do any repair the the craft following the manufactures guide lines!!

They forgot about the landing gear spacer and overloaded the plane by one ton. These mistakes prevented F-BTSC to lift off as it should before the metal piece. That's why I say that they were careless.

I wish Concordes were still in service. I am sure that they were capable of bringing us much more than 27 supersonic years. Too bad the French were so careless that they claimed 109 lives in 2000 and destroyed Concorde's image. Anyway, I love the music and the scenes. It is just a shame that airlines have ungraded the services so much nowadays.

You want to say that it was Continental's fault? Go ahead. The fact is, the cause of the crash is still controversial. Well, you can say that Continental is somehow responsible. There are some conspiracies behind this tragedy. You can believe in the government. However, I question the official report and I think that there is something that is not on the report. After all, stuffs from the government is not necessarily true. There must be secrets held by the government which are yet to be disclosed to the public.

I totally agree with your view. If Air France had maintained Concorde to the same standard as BA (Missing wheel spacer contributed to the crash plus she was over weight at take off ) I am sure that the end result may have been different. Air France never made a profit from Concorde (Unlike BA) she should still be in service. .I BLAME AIR FRANCE.AND AIRBUS....sorry if you disagree but that is my opinion!!

Concorde should never have been made surpluss to requirements, after all only one Concorde had an accident and out it went....... How many 737's, 747's, 757's, A320's. A321's have had crashes, and yet still they fly!!!!!
