How many inches is the water level in your sump? Which LFS or online store did you buy it from? I'm debating between this skimmer and the BK 160 which is a couple of hundred dollars more. Rated it 5-stars for the steady video recording and the info, too. Thanks!
Thanks for the great rating! The skimmer is sitting in 8 inches of water. Royal Exclusiv is currently trying a new modified impeller to hopefully correct the problem. I bought it from Aquacave but If you do get one, get it from Premium Aquatics. The owner, "Jeremy" is working personally with Royal Exclusiv to correct the problem and he will give you first hand care! Hope this helps!
The new impeller is in at Premium Aquatics, just saw it on RC forum. Also, spoke w/ Jeremy and bought the Alpha 200, it was a store demo on one of their tanks. Thanks to your videos, I went w/ Vertex over other skimmers, should receive in a couple of days. Thanks again for the info.

Correction... in this video, the water level is higher, at 10 inches. I normally and currently am running it at 8 inches.
