This is why I can't watch videos of KFC chicken farms cutting off chickens beaks or scalding them to death and acting like they are just dumb, numb animals. If these animals have sense enuf to care for others in need, they have sense enuf to feel their beaks being ripped off or that they are starving. Sorry to be a downer on such a cute post

it doesn't matter if they are cute or ugly, dumb or smart. My dad told me once that when an animal is killed violently. It feels fear and anger and that becomes trapped in the body and then we put its body in our body. religious doctine or not, I liked the concept. He said watch out for pigs. They die cursing your name. But lambs surrender quiet as it is the will of the God and then he continued the lesson. i love my dad. they just don't make old me like that any more.

hahah sorry, hahaah but then as Mel says that is why we pray over the food: to wash away all the evil. I just know that I am not in the best of health not in the worse and I try to keep a balance. I was a vegetarian for 2 years.  If you do not think about what your food as been through, it is easy to eat anything. When you think about it, you are often hungry. HAHAHAH I am going to get a taco though I would love a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. :(

haha thanks. I get only one moe's taco and lots of chips and salsa so I figure it was healthy Er. Church's it smells good but even my dad said this chicken is too big and greasy. it is going to kill me. while he was eating it. hahaah his doctor got him on the right track though

@firebrandsgirl i am appalled at how many people now buy meat and not know where it came from :( all animals have a right to live and if they are to be killed, killed humanely without stress. KFC now have halaal meat in UK and the method for killing isnt the most pleasant. or Veal farms..if an animal has lived a good life.. the meat tastes good. im off to enjoy my chcikens eggs now where i know they peck around freely without stress in the garden ^_^

Besides, KFC is food there are more chickens than what is eaten. People divide chickens into pets and those who get sent to be processed.

@sonylover27 I know, right. I have been boycotting KFC for years, but I got so mad the last time I watched the video I upgraded to all Yum Brand restaurants. That is killing me because I love me some Taco Bell. Also, I live in Louisville, KY, which is where Yum is head-quartered. I have friends that work there, and it breaks their hearts too, but they gotta work. Its just a bad situation all way around, and KFC need to make it right.

Chickens are inquisitive intelligent birds, my buff lace used to walk with me like a dog following me everywhere. she loved children and her fave trick was for me to ask the children to open their mouths and she would place her head in and inspect their teeth. i love my hens, each has a great character and they provide me with delicious FREE range eggs.

cats do attack chickens but I've noticed that cats of the same barn will never ever hunt the chickens there. We had a cat and he never harmed our chickens. The chickens also knew this. Infact, new born chicks would jump on him and pull his ears while he would be sleeping in the hay and he wouldn't ever attack them. If the chicken however saw an outside cat she would immediately start screaming and charge at it. It's wonderful how they make friendships with other species.
