MAN has allowed the majority of babies born with defects to survive through modern medicine. If it were left up to NATURE, the majority of babies with birth defects would very quickly die with the absence of incubation facilities post birth.

Of course the brain has created God. It is the only explaination I can find as to why we are here. Science has provided answers for many other things, but no clear cut answer as to how we got here. What created us. We know how we evolved (more or less), we know how life began (Abiogenesis).
I am not speaking of God in a conventional sense, I am referring to God as a power (Possibly a higher order dimensional set of rules/sciences) which is beyond comprehension as beings in this universe.

Actually I don't resent those illnesses. I think it is unfortunate that people have to endure some of those illnesses. I have had family members die from cancer or have dibilitating arthritis, and heart problems. It is sad, but I dont see how you can be mad at an organism. None of us KNOW how things were started. Scientists can not explain nor have any real evidence, jus a lot of theory. The big bang theory is their best guess and none of them can tell you what caused it. Science is just another religion we opt to believe in. I remember hearing of a case where some teenager spent a lot of time taking acid, and he went downstairs into the kitchen and thought he saw a monster, which came close to him and scared him. He then proceeded to stab it to death, then go upstairs and pass out.
The next day the police discovered the boys mother stabbed to death dozens of times, bleeding everywhere in the kitchen.

An interesting thing to notice is that a lot of people here in the west who experience god have had a history of alcohol abuse, smoking pot/opium, magic mushrooms, acid, ecstacy, and other hallucination-based drugs.
Naturally I have no problem with the use of some of these drugs, as sometimes they can be used medically or just for recreational purpose (if you're 80 and have cancer then go nuts). Although if you connect that experience with reality, it can be dangerous; such as leading to murder
