The best thing to do in Canterbury cathedral is wait till its really close to closing time or whnever its really quiet. stand in the middle and just do 1 clap and just listen! the acoustic space is amazing! cant wait till Altiverb get in there! WOOOOOP! im plastering every track i do with canterbury cathedral verb! lol
work-- it "looked around and up", and made observations in ways that I probably would have done if I were actually there. Nice effect. The audio was also surprisingly good, even on my basic MacPro speaker!
No, my client did! The trip to Canterbury is part of the client project I'm working on right now. We had a choice of what to do. I, along with some students, choose to spend most of the two hours in Canterbury in the Cathedral. See the answer to Sid Fortune (below) for info on the choir.
The choir is live. They were rehearsing for the Lambeth Conference of the Anglican Church, which will be meeting in Canterbury starting 16 July 2008. It was a happy coincidence (or divine providence?) to walk into the Cathedral and hear the choir and organ. I simply couldn't resist it!

Hi Ruth,
That was a great mini-tour. I liked your camera

Thanks for the look. Is the choir live or coming from your Ipod?
