  • Usually we humans are not one tone! there are fair skinned yellow people with pink undertones. Its preferred to use a combo of yellow/olive and red/pink undertones. If you are yellow and use only yellow, you will appear more flat( which is great if thats what you like) but adding pink makes you look rosier and many love that

Everyone in the world is different! I HATE when ignorant folks try to tell people how to wear and what shade of foundation they need to wear.Or blush, bronzer, eyeshadow etc

  • One of the world's biggest makeupartist said everyone in the world can at least use 2 foundations, many people can wear 3 or more. It depends on what you are trying to bring out the most. On some days some people prefer to look more rosier so they use a pink undertone. Some people want that more rosier undertone because it looks fresher/young. There are people who see both yellow and splotches of pink on them like I said.

  • Why wouldn't you go past the jawline? That's what most women need to do to prevent a "mask" appearance on their faces.

  • foundation does not always have to be spread ALL over ur face, you can just put it in areas you think you need it. i like to put mine in my t-zone cuz my outer face is alright

  • i really cant find any foundation, and it makes me mad cause i like always say i will feel pretter if i could found some, could i like go to a profentional and have then find the right stuff for me.?

  • thanx heaps, u helpd alot :)

  • foundation should definitely be blended out, past the jaw line and most of the time down the neck

  • thanks, it helps a lot

  • not really great tips, she didnt talk about undertones or anything which is the most important thing when finding the right foundation shade!

  • @youtberr3 Some people are yellow toned which is light but with alot of splotches of pink. Ive seen many clients who are light/yellow but certain foundations made them look like "jaundice/yellow" they complained. The right combo of pink/yellow made them soo bright and radiant. Its all on personal preference, thats all.Our skin is very diverse.

  • @markee871 thats a good point! wow I can't believe I left this comment so long ago..it sounds kind of rude...sorry! lol But I like the rest of the video! :)

  • well what about pressed powder from cover girl i mean there are so many "close to your skin tone shades" that i dont know whcih ones to choose, and im worried about choosing one and it wont be my skin tone and then having my neck darker or lighter than my face once i put it on!

  • lol if y'all dnt kno wat 2 use, consult a MAKEUP ARTIST, thats wat they r there 4444 :)

  • If you drink a lot, eat carrots, grapefruit, apricots and other such beneficial fruits for your skin, while also exercising (your face included) and keeping it clean/moisturized, your skin will be fab!

  • Actually drinking water is good for your skin.

Eating good food is too, trust me ive tried .

  • ok, i thought we are suppose to apply makeup below ur jawline??? Thats weird, everyone else said u should

  • No. You shouldn't have to, because your foundation needs to match better than having to cheat by adding it below the jawline

  • but you need to BLEND it out! thus, past the jaw line a little bit.

  • you should. i dont know why she said that...and she said "never"...weird.

  • i totally agree, and i think you should ALWAYS blend below the jawline for THIS reason especially for photography purposes:

makeup reflects light(flash) and your bare skin absorbs light, therefore, when you match your foundation exactly, you will see the dreaded 'white face' mark around your face...as compared to having blended it down...

one trick might be to have your foundation be just a teeny bit darker than ur complexion, this will balance out the skin on face and neck...

  • @jcanangel Well, pale people will appear pale on cam, commone sense. I took photographyfor years. Nobody wants a muddy darker shade, the "issue" is with the spf in the foundation. But than again..some people might like that look. Different ppl have different preferences.

  • i still don't know wich one i need too use shiittt i don't like this:p lol

  • thank you :)

  • Thanks Sandy... ur videos always help me ALOT !

    God Bless You,

    xoxo

  • did you know it has been proven that drincking water like they say doesn't even do anything to for skin.they were talking about that on the oprah winfrey show with returning guest dr.oz,drincking plenty of water wiil hydrate your body but not your skin so you don't have to force yourself to drink all that water if you don't want to

  • it will also make u use the toilet far to much lol

  • :D Thanks Sandy. I use a daily moisturizer and now a cleanser. Do you think my skin will clean up better?

  • Thanks you for the tips! I thought we were suppose to apply below the jawline so it blends with our neck...Why should we stay away from that area?

    Thanks!!

  • Oh, sorry...someone asked the same question, lol!

  • Hey, try buying St. Ives peach scrub from walgreens and use it like 3 or 4 times a week. And try using Aveeno Moustuirizing lotion as a facial moisturizer. Apply it after washing your face and before putting your makeup on. It soaks up really fast and really helps. You can even apply it more than once. Since it soaks up real fast, It should keep your face from being shiny and the scrub will help take those flakes away. I know you werent asking me, but I hope it helps :)

  • Oh, good! And I meant apricot scrub, not peach lol.

  • use a non oily cream/oil sebrum make sure u moisturise your whole face, wait for about 30 mins before you start doing your foundation because the cream woould have gone deep into your skin nice & smooth by then. use a tiny bit of foundation & con. rub in foundation well

  • Its a great video with great tips. Just one thing though. I read alot about makeup and I watch alot of makeup videos from different artist. Youre the only one who says not to blend the foundation into the neck. Personally I do because sometimes the neck can be a couple shades different from you face skin tone. So that way there won't be a dermication line. Atleast to blend it into the jawline so it can even out all the skin tone from the face to neck.

  • She appears to be buffing out the edges which is a different method of blurring those pesky makeup lines. At about 3:10 she starts to buff and blend, using a large powder brush. You can do this after you use your powder to set the foundation, or if you're not using powder, you can still use a larger powder or buffer brush to do the same thing. To maintain the same skin tone, be sure to use the same SPF on your face, neck and chest [if exposed]. This will give a more even "canvas".

  • this was really helpful
