I froze the video at :40, to read a part of the dry erase board. Are you kidding me? Her distinction between pm and m, identity is a parody of history. But grant it is true, is does not even agree with her argument regarding the difference between TNG and the following series. Really a pity for the students who paid to listen to this scholarly crap.

Why was this scene deleted? It speaks the truth. After GR dies his idealist utopian future dies with him. Sad actually.

TNG really changed a lot after Gene. Many of my Trek friends don't understand... but I've come to call myself a Roddenberry purest and want to see any new show adopt his ideals. The ways of thinking in post-Gene Trek seemed to revert to how we think today and weren't at all futuristic.
