I hate that sound. The SLR is so low revving. It gets it's power from the high torque output of the engine that's why the engine note's always low deep bass.

i work for the race team RML on these beasts :), its alot of fun and hard work and the race meets are quite glamorous :P. Personally not a huge fan of the sound !

that is its shout its a more refined variant of the american v8s. only big bore slugs can produce that lazy v8 sound. what i luv is that i cant hear the supercharger and i can hear that sweet lazy v8 exhaust.

Sounds like every "thunder sled" ever heard on almost every circuit in the US. Only, the same sound comes from Chevys and Fords that don't start out costing more than a season to race. Mercedes will need to bring all the cash they have to make the heavy SLR not look too bad on the circuit.
