  • 3:55 crazy people...

  • me and my friends would call that a dink not 7 lbs maybe 5 lb .

  • Just outstanding.... My husband is obsessed with a hole near our home in Randolph county!! There are visable trout this size ... but landing them is nearly impossible... trees, and visability is just crystal clear 18 inches of water or less. Congrats. Not easy to catch and outstanding catch!!!

  • Calm down

  • i caught a 8.9lbs brown trout last at 0200 am in the morning :) he was massive. i am fishing a pond that hasent been fished in over 15 years it is now my private pond my dream has came true. iv seen fish that are close to 3 feet long i will post vids soon

  • 22 inches 4 1/2 pounds I'd say. Cant wait for my fishing trip and family reunion down in there though!

  • i fish in bergoo;D

  • That's about 13 inches, 2 lbs.

  • By the way I just caught a 3lb 19inch brown not too long ago and that fish was way bigger than mine .. 26-28" 7lbs is about right on this one

  • Nice Brown guys.... There are a lot of jealous people making comments on here.. If I caught one that big I might make more of a ruckus than all of you guys put together... Great fishing.. I would throw a line next to you anytime......

  • what creek was this on?

  • Nice brownie, man. 6lb tippet is a bit big though. I use 3lb and have landed browns, rainbows and cut throat that size before. Smaller tippet will increase your catch rate because it's harder for them to see. Congratz again and keep on landin. Catch and release FTW!!!!!

  • @RiggintheDubVee

    6X....not 6lb...

  • Thanks for the catch and release.

  • You guys over done it.

  • haha sounds like a chick laughing

  • I love the Elkhorn

  • Dude, nice fish don't know why people are dissin' about ya'll freakin' out if that doesn't get you worked up I don't know what the hell will, thanks for uploading!

  • i like the part where it shows the rocks

  • @iridetigers hahahahahaha

nice fish tho man, no better feeling that hooking a big fish

  • nice brown what patteren i know up here around dunbar pa a brown beetle on a size 12 during the sumer works well

  • What a load of SISSY GIRLS

  • let him go idiots.

  • faggit

  • you completely freaked out like a sissy girl. I understand getting exited over a nice fish but you hold it in. theres no reason to be acting like that.

  • fishermen trolls? jeez. sure it was poorly handled, but that's a big fish, especially for that little stream. c'mon guys just congratulate them on the wild boar they got there

  • 8 pounds? yeah right man, u aint foolin me..

  • you acted like you just caught a 20 pounder. That thing was about 4 lbs. and you completely freaked out. Im not sure if you released it or not but if you did I guarantee you killed that fish even if it did swim off ok. You are an idiot and should stay away from wild streams rookie.

  • @Eric2827

The same fish was caught a month later....faggot.

  • hey pal..I been fishing a whole lot longer than you have and i can tell you right now that that is no where close to 28 inches nor is it close to 8lbs...You've obviously never seen a 28incher or an 8lber. Nice fish. But wrong measurements

  • elkhorn creek drops another one. this fish died by the way.

  • Great fish!!! but sorry guys... size can easily be deceiving. An educated guess would be about 23-24" and about 5-6 pounds. Nice work though! And on 6X!! Awesome!

For next time though, like you said, invest in a better net (rubber perferably!!!). hadling the fish will become much easier and healthier for the fish. poor thing was suffering in that string. Tight lines guys!!!

  • I was up there just this past weekend. Got into some beastly browns just like that one. That place is insane but dirty as all f*ck!

  • What a bunch of slap ass hicks. I feel sorry for that fish.

  • Huge fucking fish, good job. What part of West Virginia is this? I lived in Martinsburg/Inwood back in 2003

  • skip to 3:50 for the catch. Man what a fish. that's what trout fishing is all about, big native fish in a local spot

  • The biggest one i've caught was probably a 22 inch: 3.5 pounder on Big Spring Creek in Montana.

  • thats awesome dude! nothin better than a monster trout in a small stream. i'd say 26-28" 7lbs is a good guess.

  • definetly not a 28 inch 7 pounder. Caught 2 rainbows last month both were in the 25-26 inch range and much longer than ur brown. both weighing in at 4.5 and 5. Im guessing a solid 23 inch 4lb'er. Very nice catch though. I love the coloration on browns

  • WHY DID YOU RELEASE IT

  • @tinymike5150131 Because conservation of trout in river systems is much more rewarding than killing... Killing a fish like this that grew to be 6-8 years old for one meal is obnoxiously upsetting. Keep the bait fishing and killing to the lakes and let the rivers thrive.

  • the joy of fishing right there

  • LMAO AWESOME!!

  • That's an awesome trout there guys. If I caught one that big it would resting on my wall. lol

  • i would love to trout fish with you guys one day ...great videos

  • thats what west virginia is about man..great brown!!!!!!!

  • wv is the land of the pussies...

  • @Comingtoyaaahaaa Come on down to Tucker County,WV ...we have plenty of places for you to disappear. Love to see you crying ...pussy

  • MONSTER BROWNS ! MONSTER BROWNS ! Great Catch bro, to bad the vid quality sucks, but AWESOME VID ! I love the enthusiasm ! Check out our Monster browns !

  • ok, im not tring to say your rong but i keep native trout. they are the best tasting but you shouldnt keep a lot of them in 1 trip. great vid keep on fishing

  • 7 pounds in the title 8 in the description

  • lmao, best fishing video ever.

  • i dont how you people let go of trout they arnt like bass half of them die. but if it is catch and realease whater then i umdersatand

  • not with proper technique.....bass are the retards of the trout world. any warm water fish has a better survial rate than a cold water fish......this fish was caught 2 weeks later out of the same hole

  • Bass aren't anything of the trout world. Bass are considered much more advanced in terms of the evolution of fishes, they even show parental care for their immature offspring, unlike trout. I live in MT and I love trout more than my mother but not a single fish on the planet should be called retarded. I know people that keep wild fish that would not be as disrespectful as to say a fish is a retard of any realm, even one that doesn't make a wee bit of sense.

  • id probably act that way if I caught one that big but I would defanatly keep it unless I was in catch and release waters.

  • not catch and relase waters NO ONE SHOULD KEEP A WILD OR NATIVE TROUT....thats why each state stocks trout, for the retards that feel they need to keep everything they catch. do people realize that most if not all stores like wal-mart, krogers etc etc sell trout? and most farmed trout are fed better than hatchery trout

  • grt brown. congrats. stumbled on your vids and have now watched 3. good stuff. HOWEVER, it appears as tho you care more for your youtube vids than for the proper treatment and release of trout. obviously you are new to fly fishing. i hope you have learned more since these vids were taken. They should be in the water while hook is removed. u shld wet hands b4 touching. This clown had this trophy out of water way too long. btw- net ur own fish. heres to ur learning more in the future.

  • was early in our careers....new video channel is BENTRODMEDIA. fish was to big, in to small of a stream, with to light of tippet to land alone. fish was caught 2 weeks later out of the same hole.....water is a constant 50'ish degrees on this stream so survial is exceptionally high after catch and release

  • nice trout

  • @ 0:02 is that a unicycle in the water?

awesome fish! that is a beast! that big by my standards!

  • may unknow items found on and in this stream

  • Wild and Wonderful, By God!

  • I just caught a 25" brown that was 6 1/2 lbs. and it looked bigger than that one. Are you sure you weighed and measured it? In the video it looks like about a 23" 5 pounder.

  • I was excited like that when I caught my first big one. It is deffinately nice for a WV wild river brown. What kind of tackle were you using and was that in May?

  • don't remember the date...was summer....caught on 6x tippet with a prince nymph dropped off a hares ear.

  • @bayekane that sounded funny

  • @bayekane that is impressive!

  • this comment is stupid.

  • no your comment is stupid

  • 3triplexxx comment is stupid. Exact measurements mean jack shit, that's slapping a human label on a wild animal. If that fish made you feel like it was the size you claim, that's what it was. Fuck 3triplexxx, his name is stupid too.

  • Comment removed

  • Torreyritter is mentally challenged. If we all ignore him maybe he'll go away.

  • "I wasn't putting down the man's catch I just wan't to know if the title was true. It's was a grat catch and I'm happy for him. You on the other hand need to shut the fuck up. Where is your screwed up mind at? Human label lol." lol, indeed. Your second go at it was much better though, congrats.

  • rough guess, but not 5 inches and 1 1/2 pounds off

  • Way to go, nice catch either way.

  • nice fish, in wv thats big these aren't fish coming out of lakes, ive caught browns out of that same hole but not that big congrats

  • that is a littel one i am catching 15 pounders in calgary canada

  • Your comparing apples to oranges.....this would be like catching a 60 pounder in Canada....Fuck Canada

  • hahahah. holy shit you to were screaming like two little school girls once that thing was netted. nice catch! to bad we dont have any browns in Ohio.

  • was a fun day on the stream!

  • wtf thats a small brown

  • thats a small brown? where do you fish at lol

  • You a moron!

  • I live in charleston and just got into fly fishing where are you guys fishing at?

  • West Virginia :)

  • What fly did you use to catch such a monster?

  • Size 28 BH Pheasant Tail Nymph....

  • ahah pretty funny

  • Congtatulations !!!!

    By an italian fly-fisher

  • the evil laugh was a nice touch.

    :P

  • Congrat!!!

  • That's awesome !! Wild fish ? Hilarious how much you guys are laughing !!

  • 100% WILD!!

  • Brutie. 7 lbs ??? furk it let's go 10. What's the toxic comments all about? Doesn't look all that freakish. Is it from a good ole septic stream,,,,, full of the monster brown trout? ie.. long weekend of guzzlin and grillin

  • I don't understand this jibberish?

  • looks like dinner

  • you would die of cancer or grow a tail if you ate fish from this stream

  • Anyone who eats a wild or native trout should be shot!

  • you should be shot! i eat wild brookies all the time

  • Thats great......hopefully its from a stream that can sustain a few being taken out...Once they are gone Native brookies will never be back...Native brook trout are the only trout in my area...Rainbows and Browns are stocked.....

  • wild brookies, are the only thing around where i live!

  • Damn that train is noisy!

    Decent trout though.

  • Decent my ass....thats a WV wild brown monster rite ther!!!

  • haha nice fish man i know how it feels, when i was 12 i caught a 20 inch wild brown on a fly rod in front of 4 other guys trying to catch the same fish

  • me and my dad were doing that on the south holston these shad fisherman were complaining bc we were wearing out the fish and him and his son werent catching crap

  • people just get jealous....a guy saw our pics of this fish on a local forum and caught the same fish 1 week later. unfortunately this fish met it's demise about a year and a half ago due to a diesel fuel spill

  • Beautiful fish men. I kinda now the feeling, as i one time caught a 18" wild brownie, and just as i was netting the fish my foot slipped off the bank and i fell in the fucking creek. By some stupid stroke of luck the fish stayed hooked.. Now that episode on film would have put anyone to their knees laughing. I quick looked around, and NO ONE saw.. Anyway congrats on your awesome catch.

  • u think thats a dumb stroke of luck my first trout i ever caught was a 27" brown trout weighed 6lbs 12 oz i got lucky its at the taxidermist rite now :)

  • Awesome fish bu jeez..., video edit, please! lol

  • thats a trophy fish right there...that is a nice fish

  • NICE fish dude. Seriously that is a hawg out of a stream like that. Hell it's a hawg out of any stream. God, that is the definition of monster Brown Trout.

  • Awesome fish dudes! Browns are not easy to catch spent the last eight years chasing trophy trout with nothing, check out my blog. Don't mind the jerks bashing the fish handling. Browns are pretty hardy fish. On the left wing we have the spinfishers, hicks who don't care about the fish. On the right, the fly fishing elitist jerks. And in the mid normal fly fishermen like us. Tight lines!

  • im sorry bro

  • and i thought i caught a big brown the other day...holy shit

  • i thought they caught it in the net, but if you look carefully you can see the fish being played before- hand. looks about 7 lb, nice fish.

  • was it a good fight

  • no im kidding i seen the line and the fish nice fish.

  • redneck net fishers

  • redneck net fishers!?!?! Actually it would be fishermen. And we used the net to land the trout. It was caught on Rio WF line with an 8 foot 5x leader. Attached to that was 12 inches of 6x leader. The flies of choice was a size 16 BH Hares Ear and a size 22 Pheasant Tail dropped behind that.......

  • Comment removed

  • you got caught it in a net, just like that? Put it back, and catch it the real way, punks!

  • It wasnt caught in a net you retard...loo below......

  • Well, then maybe next time, learn how to handle a camera so that peopel can actually see that you caught it with a pole and a hook

  • its ellegale to cacth a brown trout in a net

  • it wasnt caught with a net...it was landed with a net, it was hooked with a size 22 PT on 6x tippet you retards....look in the video at the line connected to it

  • gimme some country love

  • that is a fucking beast of a fish

  • Comment removed

  • where is this at???

  • Nice catch, and it seems like that was a good lesson to you on handling fish, but I saw nothing that was too offensive. I am happy that you guys are so enthusiastic about the sport that I have grown to love, and I hope that you catch more quality fish like that! In essence, keep it up! I hope that these people that have nothing better to do have not left a bad taste of every fly fishers, some of us are really nice people. Have fun in the outdoors!

  • Well put DPrice43

  • Yes hus really nice brown trout i know the feeling of excitment when you finally land something like this well done.

  • at that time it was the biggest wild brown either of us had landed....i know we acted like fools and probably mishandled the fish, but i know for a fact that it survived to be caught exactly 1 week later in the same hole. then about a year ago they had a diesel spill that wiped out about 2 miles of the stream NO AQUATIC LIFE. so i dought this fish still roams the water

  • i guess id rather have it die like that then have a stringer put through its gills

  • 5:50

  • gbhdfgi

  • pause your video at 5:50 and compare that fish to your arm, now figuring your "guns" are about the width of a 20 oz bottle of dr. pepper this fish is inches short of 27. btw, i'm dropping this post just to receive a smart/tough ass response from you hillbilly losers. From reading all the comments I think you need to take some constructive criticism for once instead of feeling worthy by knocking on peoples mothers' and fathers'. Would love to break your jaw bayekane

  • what the hell got up your ass and fuck ya for the hillbilly statement

  • Wut fly are you guys using? Wet? Dry? Streamer?

Im as begginer as you can get. Used a fly rod for a few hours with a friend and was hooked. I need some good flies to start with.

  • for this time of year i like a size 14 or 16 bead head prynce nymph

  • Definately a 7 lb brown....the erie tribs are like fishing in a fish hatchery.....to many spin fishermen and not enough real fishermen. I've caught plenty over 10 lbs up in steelhead alley and i know my weights pretty good....video does not do it justice. if yo don't have anything positive to say don't say anything at all. God play in traffic. Take your spin rod with you.

  • i like eggs....

  • I left a 7 pound brown trout in my toilet last night

  • thats awesome...i carry a 6 pound trouser trout around

  • sure it isnt . 6 ounces?

    lol

  • ooooo snap

  • got him there

  • Hot dang, that really was funny shif right there, why o why didnt I spend my time fishing in WV instead of attending bluefield state, sure miss it now over here in Sweden.

Hope there will be something left of those fly fishing brooks and creeks due to that mountain top removal bizz going on.

    Nice catch/D

  • thanks man...nothing like good old west virginia

  • im bored on cam

I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO Ol

  • OK? Explain?

  • It was a "funnie" day :)

  • 3:54 funnie

  • i cought my smallest ever brown trout yesterday, 24" ... my biggest is around 17-18 lbs

  • great!!!!

  • pussies

  • fuck you...you retard

  • wow...what part of wv are you in???

  • i like in north central wv, but that be a secret wv stream sorry

  • your not in Durbin are you??? lol....theres a stream i know in Durbin loaded with trout

  • I live in the Clarksburg, Bridgeport wv area. that stream is one i might trade info on....but you would have to show me some proof of your durbin stream.

  • alls im sayin is its near greenbriar river....my dad found that stream when he was a teenager so i cant tell you...lol...its centa mental kinda... really i think where the only people that know about it...it is LOADED with natives....and its on the topographic map...but hard to find, and it doesnt even have a name....it just a little stream.....and it is one hell of a hike to get there too....iv been in clarksberg to so...kool...lol...KEEP FISHIN!!!!

  • nice fish... why can't you release him where he was caught...

  • Did you measure this fish at 28"? i guide for big rainbows in AK and I would guess it at 24 or 25.... Definitely way shy of 8 lbs. I say @ 5 lbs.

Nice fish though for WV. You are stoked...

Not trying to knock your fish at all, just questioning your measurements....

  • The fish was caught and measured twice. Measured at a legit 27 3/4...8 lbs may be a bit high...my initial estimate was 5-6 lbs. But it was a definite 27 3/4

  • never measured the fish, pics and video never do them justice...someone else landed it 2 wks later and measured it out to be 27 4/10. As for he weight I have no idea....felt like 8 pounds at the time, but thats been 3 yrs ago.

  • Screaming like a bunch of little girls I must say.

  • we were excited...big wild brown

  • You done caught urself a nice brown

  • thanks

  • Hillbilly deluxe!!!!!!!!

  • Ford pickup truck

  • big timmin' in a small town

  • damn nice trout what did you catch it on

  • caught on a prince nymph dropped off a hares ear sizes 18 and 20

  • hell of a fish!! the biggest brown i ever caught was a 4 pounder!!! lucky U!

  • thanks faker1stk

  • thanks oregondukfan...thats what no one seems to realize...the quality of this fish is not the size and weight but where it was caught and released......go ducks

  • Beauty!

A trophy fish for any river in the world, but especially for where you caught it.

    Go Mountaineers!

  • holy shit, I caught an 18inch brown today and I was laughing like an idiot because I thought it was big, this fish is a fucking monster!!! WV? I am in colorado and will be visiting there soon.
