Oopsy daisy! The General was called Hsu, and the camp is known as McCarran.

You don't have to kill any of NCR to get that armor! A quick way to get it is just getting a good rep on them. Complete Quests for General Tshu and anyone else on Camp Mcfarran and you may get NCR fame fast. When you've reached the rep necessary, the general tshu will give you a key to ncr safehouse, which is on the vegas side of the black mountain. The NCR combat armor will be there. No veteran ranger needed to get harmed!

I got mine by doing this:

1.Get a sniper rifle, eg. I got mine from Camp mcarren by that merchant at the far back

2. Next, get a silencer, I got mine from 18 trading post

Now you can shoot anyone as long as you are hidden, and it usually kills by a shot to the head. This also doesn't result in faction loss.

get a silencer for the 10mm pistol go to camp golf go inside wait until midnight go into the rooms then use a stealth boy go into sneak shoot them then when they get out of the bed quickly holster your weapon before your companions attack them then when they get back into bed pull out your weapon shoot them in the head then take their armour. TAKE NOTE!!! if your companion kills them everyone in the building and outside the building attacks you (not your companions) P.S (dont do this with boon!)

just get anti material rifle get fire bullets (i think it incidery or something) and shoot them they don't care for some reason then just keep doing that until their dead you get bad carma but nothing against the NCR i don't know if it works with any other people because i haven't tried but you can probably experiment :D

@TheConnor619 idk if it works in the 360 version but on the PS3 all u have to do with the anti material rifle with incendiary rounds and just target them with VATS then exits VATS and they will be on fire, it take a bit but u dont have to waste ammo or fight anyone cuz they dont realize WTH is going on.

you can either kill them with a silenced weapon. you can also yous a glitch if you do not have the patch. the glitch is you get the anti material rifle and incendiary ammo. then you go into vats on a ranger. he will be lit on fire with not infamy or karma loss. then you come out of vats and he will burn to death.

@codNinja909090393939 Thats how i got mine, after the (Spoiler Alert) Kimball Assassination Atempt, i took out a Ranger and scavenged his armour and weapons, no one seemed to care, all to afraid ducking and running like crazy hulligans... i then later pathed a path of blood straight to Ceaser's tent and then used the C-finder to completly wipe out ceaser... he flew straight from his "Throne" to the door of his tent... then i tea bagged him for a few minutes... then took his head as a trophy.

@gaintpandafilms You gotta be level 14+ to have the rangers spawn with the armor. Use a silenced weapon to kill them or the whole base will come and jack you up.

Camp Forelorn Hope and Ranger Base Delta are the best places to get it. One is at Hope and two are at Delta.

i play with a un patched version, so i used the anti material rifle with incendiary rounds and used the vats glitch where they get set on fire without shooting. no karma loss and FREE ARMOR! i still havent tested if she respawns so i can keep getting the armor every 3 in-game days.
