May I know what to clean and what thermo paste and thermo pad to put on? I tried to replay many of your videos but it appears that I still couldn't get it. It would be good if you list out what to clean, where thermo paste and thermo pad to put on. Thanks a lot! love your video!
I've been using my evga ssc 285 sli for a while now. Air cooled.
everything is fine idle, but on load i have to run 70%+ fan speed to match the heat and it sounds like an air-plane
SLI with these cards are making the airflow to the first card lower, and I also have a sound card in my 3rd pci-e so the 2nd 285, also dont get the best airflow, even tho my case wich is well ventilated with 7 Noctua fans running with 12v all the time(case only, 2 more on the cpu)
@FaintSnow so long as your grounded all is good :D i have removed the coolers off my gts 250 several times once for dust removal again for reaplying thermal paste and again for a volt mod :d
You should use something else than a piece of cardboard to spread thermal grease, may leave micro fibers behind. A clean piece of plastic works great, such as a credit card. Also it will hold up better than cardboard. JMO

Great tutorial.
I somewhat am pretty scared to watercool my PC.
and it just doesn't feel right to open up such a card, but that's just me =p, flushing 200 - 300 euro's down the drain if you do it wrong.

Be careful with the thermal paste, looks like it contains silver :).
I always use ceramique for RAM.

yes it contains silver and is non conductive
