The "other" Cut Glass at the time went under the name Mildred Vaney - she had left Quiet Elegance (check them out!) - to form Cut Glass - she later changed her name to Mildred (Millie) Scott when she recorded in the mid 80's for 4th & Broadway - what a treat to see this video!...a Saint top 5 classic which no doubt will be played this coming weekend at the Trippin' Party - a night of Saint Classics

Total gay disco. Forgot about this one and I am considered my most to be a disco encyclopedia. They played this on Warren Gluck tapes at the Talk of the Town in White Plains, NY ~1982. Funny how songs sound much better when you rehash the old memories.

Congratulations, Ian. This is better than the original! Ortheia's vocal is more soulful on this one, and her voice has matured gorgeously. And it's so nice to see her singing!

I read on one Web site, that she has become an evangelical minister. I hope that doesn't mean she thinks we're all going to Hell..

Anyway, too bad you didn't do "Alive with Love," too. It always was a bit more soulful than the relatively hi-energy "Without Your Love."

Cut Glass had two lead singers - Ortheia Barnes and Mildred Scott.

Ortheia had singles on Mickays and Coral in the 1960s, and recorded for Motorcity in the 1980s, and also recorded for Sylvia Moy a lot.
