  • I would learn to fly all of the models in Phoenix...micros, minis, electric, nitro, stick-and-pod, etc. That's what I did when first learning.

At the time of this video, I had been fly helis for one year.

  • reflex xtr is a good simulator too!

  • hey, this may sound stupid but im new to phoenix( i mainly go on realflight) but how do you retract the wheels on planes?... ive tryed everything on my transmitter :(

  • thanks for the quick reply i'm goin to buy one and see how my flying comes along thanks for the advise

  • hey i was thinking about getting Phoenix RC Simulator i just recently bought a belt cp and crashed it with in five mins of opening it ( with out training kit ) do you think it's a good idea to invest in Phoenix RC Simulator ? what is it like to acutually really fly you heli ?? much appreciated if you relpy thanks

  • Yes, training on a good sim like Phoenix Sim or Real Flight will help you progress faster. These sims are very realistic.

  • @racin777 which do you think is more realistic and a better buy? I hear phoenix is the more realistic one and the better buy (because it comes with a real usable dx5e).

  • nice smooth fliying!

    great control! :)

  • Where do i get a cord for my transmitter? Does the program come with a cord???

  • Does the esky 4ch trainer cable work with the 6ch TX and phoenix?

  • hi,

ive just bought the honey bee king 2.

    it came with no simulator.

can anybody tell me where i can get or download one?

  • I will pm you a link to a free simulator.

  • Great you found the problem, I use the Dx6i mostly, so itjust plugs right in.

Yeah, Phoenix is pretty awesome, ALTHOUGH, I also think its just a bit to stable... until you add the 'reality' settings....

Try adding some wind (at least a little), and lessen the Gyro, and other asettings to make it less like a 401, and more like a eSky Rate.. You can actually fine tune it realy well. adding some changes/offsets will make it more real for sure. Need to email Phoenix about some more models..

  • How did you get the tx to hook up to your computer, do you have to install a driver or something.

  • the phoenix comes with a usb dialog that you plug into your pc to your training plug on your TX.

    Brandon.

  • where can i download it?

  • I am thinking about getting this sim (lots of wind where I live) but do I really need to buy a graphics accelerator card for it to perform well?

  • My flying skills fine ;)

Just tell me, when you do full collective pitch in Phoenix with King 2, does the tail rotate counter clockwise like it does in real life ? If it doesn't then well ......

  • This is too stable to be my king 2.

    1. Mine would nose dive as I do a sharp turn.

    2. The tail is too precise, it must be using 9257 + 401 gyro.

    3. It flies too smooth, the pilot must be holding back all the time.

  • I think the Phoenix RC HBK2 model is pretty close to the real HBK2 regarding flight characteristics. Perhaps you should work on the setup of your HBK2 and work on your flying skills. ;)

  • I cannot get a setting that works with the esky transmitter for the hbk2 except in 4 channel mode. Can you get yours to work in six channel mode? Also do you fly a stock hbk2? Because I would have to say even the lift quotients in phoenix fail to account for the reduction in torque at higher speeds with a stock motor. The sim makes it seem lift is smooth and fluid, when in actuality decreasing throttle by one notch results in sudden and drastic reduction in lift. Let me know what you think.

  • Hey, I have the Esky 6ch as well, "0407A"(?) or something, It wont work for me either, actually i have 2 Esky 0407A/6Ch.'s, and Neither of them, same problem, "please plug in your transmitter" error msg. I email them, they said, "Esky 6ch.works". whaat? dont think so, i told them i had TWO identical TX's, and both same problem "unplugged error", no bother for me anymore, as my dx6i and BaldeCX2 (5ch.) work without a flaw.. But i would like someone to verify thatthe ESKY 6Ch. 0407A actually will

  • The e-sky Tx does work with Phoenix. The only issue is with the ccpm demixing tool for calibration. All you have to do is open up the battery compartment and take out the first 4 batteries. You'll see 2 dip switches which need to be changed (on for off and off for on). Make sure you mark up which goes where so you can put them back before flying for real.

  • Try holding the cable up to the back of the 0406A (6Ch Esky) TX, all of a sudden when i do that, it calibrates, and works just great.. i am pretty sure it is the cable, as it flakjes out on BOTH my 6CH Eskys, but I will just tape it up on the back if i want to use this one with it.. just thought i'd pass this along.. cheers.

  • I had the wrong cable (futaba) so I looked up specs and found out how to rewire a 4 pin mini din (esky plug) onto the futaba, there are only 2 wires in there. Anyway good you got it fixed, mine is working fine. I don't have the honey bee king model yet though.

  • It's so real...I hear it's better than RealFlight G3.5 or G4. The stunning graphics match its amazing physics
