Thank you so much for this Michael. High Flight was my Dad's favorite poem, and recited at his funeral. This clip means more to me than you'll ever know!
Who has watched a launch, A million pounds of fiery thrust, Repelling a spacecraft to the stars, And not held their breath, As the heart accelerates within, Along with the brave hearts within the ship, As we touch with our souls, What our fingers cannot feel, For alone in space, They are joined by the souls of millions, And we can see the truth of reality, Understanding more why we are here, As possibility is only limited, By the scope of imagination, For alone in our lives, We are never alone.
I truely cryed so hard with this vision of John singing. He looked to have the light of God shining upon him. I'm sure it is now anyways. Thanks for this share.
What a great video! I don't think any singer I've ever heard puts as much emotion into the music as much as he does with all his songs. May his spirit continue to soar!!! I miss him so much even though I know he is with all who love him. Thanks for posting this clip.
The Thanks truely go to you for all your wonderful videos - I have watched many of them and can't Thank You enough for giving me back some wonderful memories. I look foward to any more you do - and you are very welcome!

and dreams we carry and think our own
are shared by others never known
For such is our world of thought
For all in millions must repeat
Or else our lives count for nought
And that I cannot meet

It is always a pleasure. I have been a fan of John Denver for more than 35 years.
He is really missed!

So ironic! He sings often of flying and it was the thing that ultimately kiiled him. I miss you JD so much! What a loss for humanity.
