  • Iv'e sat in a spitfire :')

  • ok its french so we must say the 406 was a good plane.

  • Greatest story is when a squadron of british pilots refused to go up to attack a group of enemy aircraft because of bad weather. The Polish guys hopped in their Spits, attacked the group and came back safely.

True heroes, my fiancee's family are Polish and from their stories, they have had a very hard life.

  • Il est beau le Spitfire....

  • Omelet Du Fromage

  • Good vid. (Pity his Brummie 's not up to speed)

  • Chanson qui irait bien : SpitFire de Prodigy ^^

  • english dude

  • I really wish you lot could spell your own native tongue.

  • Need some practice?

  • What I wrote did not imply that I was born at the time of the war. I know perfectly the difference between reading a book and risking one's life. As for your other statement, I've read Churchill's memoirs, which tell a lot. And I know what it felt for the French ppl after France collapse: Shame for the nation which had been victorious 20 years before, anger against the lame politicians (French and British too) who had declared war against Germany without preparing it seriously.

  • Let it be

  • alguien me puede traducir lo que dice?

  • The Polish 303 squadron was quite famous in the Battle of Britian for bloodthitirstiness.

Seeing your peaceful country bombed and invaded gave a certain edge i think.

  • @zaohad1: The 303, in the period of the Battle of Britain, was was equipped with Hurricanes as a not dofighter sqn but bomber killer.

    JH is 317.

  • It's great to see that not everyone forgot about Polish RAF squadrons. The color footage of the video shows the plane with white and red Polish Air Force symbol near the propeller. After all so many Polish pilots died in the Battle for Britain. Vive la Pologne!

  • Le Spitfire : ce nom, à lui seul, résume le courage et l'abnégation des jeunes pilotes de la R.A.F. qui, à l'été 1940, changèrent le cours de l'histoire pendant la Bataille d'Angleterre

    Translation

The name alone resumes/sums up the courage and the...selflessness? of the pilots of the R.A.F in the summer of 1940, which changed the course of history during the battlle of britain.

lol from someone who only took 2 and a half years of highschool french XD

If Iam wrong anywhere plz tell me

  • Aucune faute, camarade !

And, that's right: For us French, the Spitfire was the best symbol of courage and hope in the dark night of the Nazi occupation. Many of us kids have read WW2 pilots' memoirs (British or French of the RAF, such as P. Clostermann)

  • You were born at that time ? Don't use "we" while you're just dreaming about something you can't imagine what it really was. With all my respect to P. Clostermann, you don't know what it felt for English ppl after France collapse.

  • well said aspire, and many young men from different nations flew spits (and Hurricanes) in

Battle of Britain, including English, French, Australian, New Zealand, Polish, Czech, American,

    Israeli,etc etc

  • There WAS no Israel at the time, dork. The Zionists stole the land from the Arabs.

Look up, The Five Dancing Israelis.

    Jonothan Pollard

    The USS Liberty.

  • LOOK, you even BIGGER DORK!

Many nations were attributed with pilots who fought in Battle of Britain. Many sources say ONE Israeli fought in battle, even though Israel was not formed till 1947-48

What you are really saying dumbfuck, is that you

    hate British and Israel?

    go to hell

  • @darkmossie633 the plane on this video has polish signs.

  • you're right!

  • lol even though its a british plane......but yeah good point

  • Davidjames789 you're absolutely right !!!

    Pricelust1 youre a ignorant fool

  • Comment removed

  • I went to France (Normandy) 2 yrs ago for the first time in my 51 yrs of life the French I found were superb and I would love to go to France again! Viva la France! I have found the French to be sound!

  • The Spitfire: the name alone, sums up the courage and selflessness of the young pilots of the RAF which, in the summer of 1940, changed the course of history during the Battle of Britain. (translation of description.)

  • shit, seriously? why is the french-english relationship thing so bad? and pricelus1, by being a dick you have now shown that you think french is german and if u hate the french so much, why did you let yourself get owned by a french guy who is vastly more intelligent and probably didn't learn history by reading what Jenny's biggest turn ons are from page 3 of the fucking sun.

  • fuck the french, come down here into the south pacific far from their homeland to let off nuclear blasts at mururoa then send in secret agents into blow up the rainbow warrior in Auckland's (NZ) harbour, tho they were caught pretty quick, french terrorist bastards

  • You mean, when French special agents blasted up the Greenpeace ship, "Rainbow Warrior"?

I don't quite see what is wrong with sinking a ship full of hippies, who tried to disturb our scientific experiments on hydrogen bombs ?

Moreover, consider that the Rainbow Warrior has better served the environment for 27 years, as a shelter for crabs and fishes, than when it burned oil for the pleasure of radical chic militants.

  • WTF, you stupid nubs, the fricken machines are gonna own you all up very soon........

  • Diable parlez-vous, ce poteau ne semble-t-vous aucun raisonnable?

  • Blah blah blah...speak english fool, ya see thats why you gerries lost 2 wars.

  • I can speak English, can you speak french?

  • Dont be stupid. French is for faggots.

  • Then why do you speak English you moron, huge french influence, 30% of the vocab. is of french origin.

  • he's telling you he's 30% faggot

  • oo la la, zut alors,,,,,,merde.!... sacreau bluea, etc, etc

  • yeah bloody french learn about what helped us save your sorry asses go UK

  • Hundreds of bloody French flew Hurricanes and Spitfires in 1940-1944. They helped saving Britain's sorry ass too. You seem to forget that both our armies were beaten flat in 1940.

  • Hmm.

  • Then came the USA..and whipped ass!! Seriously though, kudo's go to both French and British..they fought like hellians!

  • yeah they waited till the enemy was softened up enough for them to come in and save the day and take all the credit.

    Same as WW1.......

  • What about the Russians?

  • communist basterds god damn stalin killed most of his men before ww2 thats why they entered when they were invaded

  • Of course - God bless them all!

    and the great French resistance.

    The French were not cowards.

See the legion as I would fight for them!

  • yeah but britian never gave in and the polish where some of the best pilots back then they racked more kills than any1 others in the BOB
