nope this was written by Faiz Ahmad Faiz as a tribute to Maqdoom Mohiuddin

@ezeeusb .. this is maqdoom sahabs version .. faiz sahab on maqdoom sahabs demise wrote using the same verses with a few changes ... faiz sahab was then in russia on a trip when he heard of maqdoom sahab passing away

@suhailinoman i have read in a reliable urdu magazine published from delhi that this tribute to maqdoom sb was written by faiz sb in sept 1978 in moscow (in the same bahr of aapki yaad ... ...),where as madoom sb died in jan 1969.please check.
