  • The show was pretty boring, but the theme tune was great- far better than Scotland's newer soap, River City, which is, though, in itself, more exciting in general.

  • Just like Emmerdale but in Scotland

  • I loved this would tape it on RTE1 ireland and watch it when got home from primary and secondary school Ireland but in the end it was put on only one a week Friday and for a bit dropped and if not for youtube would have missed final episode I loved it so did my mum.

  • It reminds me of skiving off school

  • this show was aired in japan was it dubbed or did they use sub-titles?

  • My grandmother loved this how, I used to think it was so boring, it's funny how the things we hate to do or see we'd do or see them again if we could have the person back

  • @MrSean677 yea my Mum loved this show, I thought it was so boring too lol now she's been gone 12 years and it gets me a bit chocked up watching this and I wish she was here to see it.

  • My mum used to watch this when i was about 3-4 years old in the 80s at lunchtime, and to a toddler it was boring. All i remember is an old cow called Mrs Mack, and a corner shop.zzzzz

  • Excellent theme tune, show wasn't something a teen admitted to liking, though.

  • There's a girl from this who's now in Emmerdale isn't there? I recognised her as soon as she came into it... (how sad is that! lol)

  • Thanks for uploading this clip. I remember hearing this music all the time. Bring back Take The High Road! We miss it so much.

  • I remember this series being on TV, I live in Yorkshire but on wikipedia it says it was not shown here since 1993 but I remember it it being on in the late 90's im sure. I also remember when ITV used to show Shortland Street too.

  • I used to watch this alot, I liked it. Petty shows like these are not repeated much anymore. Had a good theme tune too I think.

  • Yeah,I agree,Shows like this should come back,The song is Great I think

  • The older versions of the theme tune were better than this one.

  • ! of the best shows every me and my mum and my best friends were addicted to it but in the last year RTE Irelsand switched the episodes around so much you would never know when it was on :( hard to find it. This theme tune of it the best thanks for uploading it

  • Just glad to hear someone loved it as much as I did,Thanks,If you or anyone has any other themes wanted put up Ill try my best to put them up as well

  • God, I had completely forgotten about this! The theme tune brings back so many memories!

  • I think this was taken from a 1990 episode where Fiona goes to retrieve her son from his paternal grandmother. While Mrs G argues with Fiona and Archie, David falls down the stairs.

  • I'd like the hear the end credits edit of the second theme - from 1982-86.

  • can you make one with the other version of the theme tune??
