The better way to pop a balloon is to tape a pin to your college roomate's door to the adjoining bathroom and stuff a ballon into the door hinge area next to the door.
you may have to tape it there so the pin hits it when the roommate/suitemate(adjoining rooms) opens the door to the bathroom.
