NO WAY can i work like that. i need keyboard and mouse on top of the desk. put monitor on a book if you need to, but i cant stand keyboard trays. i need to be "on top of things" literally and figuratively. that effin tray is a blockade between you and the desk when you need to write on or read something on the side. i need a mile of space around the mouse even if i'll never use it. i cant have a mouse in a tight space like that. no way.
this kinda helps me but the thing with my keyboard that is pissing me off is that its so wide that if i put my spacebar in line with the middle of my monitor there is hardly any space at all for the mouse so i put the mouse above the keyboard tray and on top of the desk, its pretty comfy i mean i dunno how the reaching up will work but ill see
See how the new mouse placement works for you. If you do a lot of mouse work though, having it up on the desktop might overwork your shoulder (holding the arm up off the chair's arm rest). If an extension off the tray isn't practical, you may need to move the keyboard off direct center to fit the mouse when doing mostly mouse work and then center it when mostly typing. Hope that helps.
yeah i moved it because it does get very uncomfortable and i put it back on the tray, i kind of have the keyboard where i need it but i do a little bit of both keyboard and mouse work so i need them at comfortable reach but i think ill just have to deal with it, also my chair i have now doesnt have wrests but im getting a new one this weekend with wrests so mabey that will help me a bit with comforot
