Hey,hey! live....bvest version of this sing I've heard....remember that, sir, the feeling that goes through you onstage comes out aloooot better & the crowd's response speals for it's self!! This version is golden man! Thanks, for postiong it, cheers!
Please, whatever you do....don't give up playing the guitar!!! ....listening to you play is truly an honor....you have a wonderful talent of creating music with your heart, feelings, and guitar! Thank you!!! .....and I've already bought your CD. haha.
Maneli are you originally from Iran? I was watching another one of your videos and the beginning sounded like Dastgahe Shoor (from iranian music scales) Is that an accident or do you Dastgahe Shoor?
Yea I'm Iranian. I try to incorporate different dastgah in my playing. Glad you could hear the persian influence here :) My father has taught me many persian modes for me to inspired by!
Love the playing! How did you learn? I play myself, but never know what to begin with chords/scales, etc. I always find it interesting how players get to where they are
oh, and by the way, you SHOULD be on records like Candyrat. Frankly speaking , you are WAY BETTER than some of their artists... I don't understand why companies like those haven't discovered you yet, my friend.
this, my friend, is one of my all-time favorites... I have to say that this might indeed be the most subtle, and the most captivating composition i have ever heard... am I glad you sent me that invitation...
Maneli is my favorite acoustic guitarist and I think very underrated. It looks like you use a metal thumbpick... I was wondering what it is cause I use a Jim Dunlop but I find the shape of it is annoying because of the folds on top. It makes up strokes a bad idea and hard on strings. Do you know of a good flat metal thumb pick?
Im just using a regular plastic thumbpick, jim dunlop actually. I wouldn't personally use a metal thumbpick because it would make it so much brighter than it already is. Nothing fancy about the thumbpick although im still not 100% used to it. With anything, the more you use it, the easier and more comfortable it becomes. We'll get there :)
This is my favourite tune by you, it's great, lots of different parts to it which you've put together in a very cohesive manner, I love the unique sound of this song.
Very talented, would have loved to see you live but sadly you aren't touring Scotland :(
Keep up the great work, I don't understand why the view meter on this video doesn't have a few extra digits on it!
All flattery aside, this may be one of the greatest compositions I've heard. You may not be famous, but hey: you nailed better than Andy McKee could. And I REALLY like Andy.
I'm so touched by your playing. When speaking about other guitarists in the same league, it (sometimes, not always!) seems to me like much of the songs message and soul gets lost in overemphazising of the different tapping techniques and so on. You keep it rock solid all the way through, build your songs on incredible stable and beautiful ground, then you make it flourish even more with your very own way of playing, and still you keep such an emotion in it! You should be signed to candyrat!
Amazing composition and performance! Bravo! To my ears, it sounds highly artistic and perfect - not at all imperfect - as you've described in the channel-page! You are like Keith Jarret of the guitar.
Man god creates amazingly wonderful musicians and human beings BRAVO BRAVO!! ENCORE ENCORE! please tour in Spain sometimes i would love to hear you play. Peace Roberto.
Excellent right hand work, and superior use of harmonics. I enjoyed the percussive elements. I can only hope that you can add the traditional 5/8 of even the 12th century 6/12 time signatures.
Compliments to you on your technique and originality!
I hear many levels of emotion in your playing! Not a simple thing to accomplish on the guitar! How long have you been playing? Did you have classical training?
Your talent is clearly evident! Keep up the good work!
Naturally if you don't play guitar you don't care.. if you do .. you might. I posted this because somebody commenting about Maneli's playing asked about it..

Wow...your music is beautiful my friend, truely an inspiration to someone like me. I mean I can play, but nothing like your music, it's something else. Thank you for the invite. I hope I can play like you one day.
I listen to this song 20 times a day. 3:16 to 3:50 must be the best set of riffs I've heard in my life... and the rest of the song is unbelievable too. Amazing.
You've got a really good grasp of that thumb pick. Nice job using all of your right hand too. There's so much more to compliment but still other movies to watch. You've got talent bro, keep on rockin'.
Thanks dude, i dont use any effects at all. everything you hear is plugged straight into the soundboard. the pick up system is pretty nice though (expression system).
Looks like Maneli is not eager to tell us his tunning!!.. But I think I have it figured out.

EAEABE
