  • id love an anodized frame, delicious :P

  • I wonder how many jokes the workers made about the announcer behind his back

  • I love my 2008 Madone 5.2 Pro (same as the 5.5 but with Shimano instead of Sram) It's still so fast, and the rest of the industry hasn't really caught up.

  • @babbfamilyidaho your a fool they have blown past trek

  • @thebjgj2 in what way, for them to have blown past Trek there should be guys on new bikes flying past me in races that couldn't do so before without changing their fitness level, they're not. This bike makes you feel like you have the advantage, either that or I am just really good. Sure there are bikes that are on par with it performance wise but some of the innovations on this bike are still totally unique. There are some sweet new tt bikes from specialized but I'd love to hear your argument.

  • @babbfamilyidaho any Cervelo, the they are an engineering company unlike trek that is a marketing company that happens to make and sell bikes

  • Comment removed

  • Great bike. But the commentator sounds ridiculous. Why does he has to exaggerate every single sentence? He sounds like the guy in the TV-shop.

Just give us the facts, don´t have to make it some drama. US-style, huh?

  • @Rubellaaa you know the US isn't the only country to be dramatic... Top Gear, a brittish TV show, is pretty bad about it. As is gordon ramsy, or BBC exploration shows.

  • if i were to pull on this would i break it...no you would hurt yourself......bullshit it would snap in a second

  • This is absolutely amazing. I've never seen this video or the process! I LOVE my Madone 5.2 (2010 model, still handmade) so they're clearly definitely doing it right.

  • foreal they should put sram red on it

  • This is pretty funny considering how much emphasis they put on the fact that a lighter bike is faster and that the bike makes the bike go.. "its not about the bike"

  • @Asterixarcher True but if Lance Armstrong was racing himself on a beach cruiser vs. Madone he would probably go for the latter

  • Very cool - how they build the carbon Fiber frames

  • Dont fuck around

  • stealth bombers are made from polycarbonate not carbon

  • nice, where do you get the frame from?

  • @theredrighteous

    How about racers...

  • @theredrighteous

Who the FUCK would spend upwards of $5000-$8000 on a fucking motorbike. Waste of money. Jesus christ on a motorbike......

  • @tywin1 not a motorbike- a bicycle

  • i like trek but the bontrager parts have to go

  • @transplant07 Just curious, what's the problem that so many people have with Bontrager? I don't have any issues with my Bontrager stuff (RL wheels, etc), but I've also never had anything near equal to it to compare to.

  • @transplant07 bontrager is built to last, from my experience

  • if cost were no object...so i got a afordable bike , trek shuld make a strip down vesion...

  • @jayandersons Trek now offers a strip down version. Check out the Madone 3.1- full 105 equipped, $1799

  • I broke two trek madone bikes in the same year, the bottom braket fell apart on both and completely screwed up my right leg and im still dealing with the problem to this day. Thanks Trek

  • When I'm in the market for a very highend bike, a Madone will be at the top of the list.

  • Trek rocks:D The madone really is focused in sprint and when i do long distances i don't fell tired at all

  • As another post suggested, everyone makes CF frames using the same techniques, there is nothing magical to TREK's manufacturing process, materials etc. TREK has great marketing though!

As far as a road bike being "fast"... well I'm a cat3 racer (don't currently ride a TREK but have in the past). I've beaten Madone riders and been beaten by them. If you're averaging >26 mph on a 40K TT, maybe you can comment on 'fast' coming from the bike.

  • Trek is one of the few that offers lifetime warranty on the frame others 5 years max. I dont have a trek and ride a Look. I would consider Trek just for the warranty alone.

  • Just got my 2009 6.9 Madone with a custom paint job...it is AWESOME!...money well spent

  • can ya lend me the 10 grand so i can get one lol...what colors did you pick?

  • Derrell you will love riding it absolutely brilliant... Money well spent

  • I have one 5.2 2009 incredible bike, you never feel fatigued after! handing unbelievable

  • I also bought a "Project One" 2009 5.2 on April 21st, I should be getting a call from the cycle shop any day, they said it would be here in 7 days....can't wait for it. Hope it warms up here in the Twin Cities, MN

  • Almera, I am not that big of a fan of trek, but you don't know what you're talking about. Felt's are O.K. but Trek has team Astana who is the best road team in the world as of now

  • Pros ride what they're paid to ride. Astana rides TREK b/c Lance has a longstanding contract with them. It'll be interesting to see what they ride now that Lance is moving to Radio Shack.

  • Factory in Waterloo, WI, a

  • @slalomnorth Only for 6 series Madones now.

  • where is this factory?

  • Trek's are the best

  • which frames are better? trek or cannondale?

  • @TheIncridibleOne Trek for carbon fibre, Cannondale for aluminium.

  • I've always wondered how a carbon fiber bike is made and put together.

Thank you very much for posting!

  • Check out the Project One bike builder on Trek's website. I am sure it will be used as evidence in some of our upcoming divorces!

  • I think the madone frame is the best frame ever - the whole concept is fantastic

  • But if you buy the frame and groupset/wheels separately, you`ll build the whole bike for a lot less $

  • I see TREK is still producing the carbon bikes in the U.S., but fired a lot of people when they outsourced all the aluminum frames to Taiwan.

  • According to trek, machines do a more precise job of making an alu frame

  • they make it sound SOOOO special, while every manufacturer uses the same/similar techniques.

  • yeah..its called marketing...

  • Dear God!! Is there anywhere not overrun by the comments of morons? Just ride the bike and keep your puerile comments to yourselves. You are boring.

  • +1 man

  • NO FATTIES!

  • You hit the nail on the head.. Trek is big in the war business. I'm sure you've seen the new M4's and M249's that Trek is contracted to the U.S. military. lol

  • i am not talking about war business i am talking about WARS that america is creating. and if i kill all those innocent people in the asia maybe i will get some 'big' money

  • take your hippy flowers and stick them up yer ass you Naieve Knob.

  • Is that true? trek's in the war business?!?!? I'm shocked!

  • @ftcycling you fucking dump .

  • nice frame, but race lite wheels are shit.

It sucks Trek(or most any bike company) makes you spend 5k+ for a setup with dura-ace also.

  • Spot on with regards the wheels. I was lucky. Had some spot on kit to transfer and the made up bike is brilliant. It beats me, though, why they put wheels made of celery on such an A1 fram.

  • so just get the frameset! its way cheaper to build it yourself.

  • no it aint.

  • errr...yes it is.

  • i want one

  • Awesome! Thank you for posting this!
